Wonderful place to eat! We were greeted cordially when we entered the door and immediately escorted to our table by the hostess. Our waiter, Red, promptly introduced himself and took our drink order. This being New Year’s Eve, they had a wonderful reasonably priced buffet! Everything was very fresh, juicy, and flavorful! It started with a nice salad selection, then a wide variety of entrees with a few side items, and a nice variety of desserts. We could not have enjoyed our food any better had we been any where else! Michelle and her staff, are wonderful! On top of it all, they give back to several different charities, by giving each guest a dollar coin to give to the charity of their choice which is in the lobby when leaving. How great is this?!

What a wonderful spot right in Murrel’s Inlet. We love being able to make a reservation online especially with a little gal in tow. We ordered the raw oysters and clams which were fresh and delicious. The burnt ends were tender and tasty. We ended up getting the Chilean Sea Bass special was devine. Had a booth overlooking the water. They are still waiting on their liquor license but hopefully will have it within the week. Gregory was great and took wonderful care of us. Don’t walk, run here!!

***May, 2021***The service was lackluster, but the food was delicious. We waited over an hour when we were told we would be seated in 25 minutes. We will go back, and hope for better service next time.

Absolutely incredible. Going to be the first place I recommend to all friends and family for their stays in Myrtle Beach. I got the shrimp po boy and it was more like a subway foot long the thing was so big! The views were incredible, staff was extremely friendly. My only recommendation would be some nice lighting on the back patio.

I love American Steak and Oyster Bar. The night I went they had $1, Oysters on the half shell, which were amazing!!!!
I also enjoyed the atmosphere. The bartender, Steve, is very knowledgeable, and willing to make martinis and margaritas to your request.
Pat, the manager was so nice and genuine.

We loved our experience tonight, they were short staffed in the kitchen but we were so impressed with the staff from the hostess to our great waitress. The food was delicious! Everyone needs to have a little more patience for the folks that do show up and want to serve! We will be back!

Great find in the Marsh walk area. Not as crowded but also not easy walking distance to Marshwalk nightlife. Great variety of steaks and seafood. Oysters very fresh. Good size bar for before dinner drinks or bar side dinner. Large seating areas both inside and out. Nice view over the Marsh. Service was excellent. Marissa knew the menu well, made some great recommendations. Appetizer portions are big enough to be a meal. Salad was crisp, fresh and tasty. I suggest eating dinner here, then take the short car ride to Marshwalk nightlife.

I sat at the bar around 7:00PM surprisingly not many people on a Saturday night even on off season in Murrells Inlet. I had the Domonicos steak medium rare, it was served correctly, however the garlic butter was not. My taste it would have the taste of roasted garlic with creamy butter. The seasoned vegetables was steamed spinach. Again the meat was tasty.

The restaurant is really nice and the food and staff were great! When you walk in, the vibe and decor tells you that the owners are proud to be an American business. They give back to the community and charities every time someone comes in to dine, which is such a great thing that they do! Staff were respectful and friendly from the beginning to end with our experience there. And the food was very delicious and had great presentation. The family and I were not disappointed at all, we highly recommend a visit to this establishment when you are in the area! ️

This was our second visit to American Steak & Oyster Bar. We absolutely love this restaurant. It’s cozy, clean and inviting. It’s got a waterway along side it which makes it romantic. Our food was delicious. We had oysters as appetizers. Our main dish was scallops and sirloin. The scallops were big and juicy, they did not skimp on them either! Delicious! Sirloin melts in your mouth. Lemon drop martinis were just right. Our server, Mary, was delightful. She was pleasant and efficient. I highly recommend American Steak & Oyster Bar. You won’t be disappointed.
