My husband and I came here and really liked it. We got the fried pickles which were delicious but be prepared! The portion is enough for 4 people at least!! I got the pulled pork dinner with green beans and fried corn. The pork was super juicy and very tasty. The green beans had a vinegar base. The corn was fried and so good! It tasted sweeter with a hint of popcorn flavor. My husband got the brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese. The Mac is unique and delicious!!! The atmosphere is definitely not a hometown bbq feel but our waitress was very nice.

I think some of these previous reviewers are confused or didn’t really even go to the restaurant. Portion sizes were on point (as seen in actual photos) and prices were fair. Chicken wings were sizable and juicy. I had the bourbon apples and they were delicious. I love the fact that I can get my wings and my vegetarian husband had plenty of options too! He had the Philly with Tofu instead of meat…collard greens and cole slaw. I was going to taste test those, but they were gone too quick so I know they were good! We shared the tater tot “nachos” (chili on the side) and it was gone before anyone came to ask how it tasted! Don’t even get me started on the atmosphere. A lot of heart went into the design of this unique restaurant and it shows! Will definitely be going back and recommending to others!

Small little bbq place with great food and service. We got the fried pickles, a brisket sandwich with Mac and cheese, a pulled pork dinner with deep fried corn and brisket green beans.
All the food was delicious especially the pickles! Sunshine was our server and she was extremely friendly!

Has potential to be a great place but very underwhelming. Slow service. Saw a few couples sit at the bar only to leave after not being acknowledged, and it wasn’t very busy. Dined in but given plastic silverware. Lots of TV’s either turned off or no relevant sports on in the bar area…. Food was decent at least. Rubbin Butts is a better BBQ/sports bar scene.

My first time here, it was great! I had spicy brisket sandwiche it was so tender and the flavors were awesome. My son order wings the sauce was so good. Our server was amazing very sweet and on top of things. We will definitely be back!!

We have been patrons of A.S.S. for a long while now and loved it… and it’s walking distance from our house. However, quality has seemingly gone done severely since the transition to a “sit-down” restaurant… I’m guessing the transition came too quickly or wasn’t implemented correctly? Either way, you can’t charge $15 for a pound of “pulled pork” and give them watered-down, week-old, mush pork… which appears to pulled pork that has either been previously chewed or thrown in a blender. Tasted like water, zero flavor, and the texture was god awful.
Also, the customer service has also went to the wayside… in fact, I’m only posting this because I have tried to talk to and have waited a week for anyone of significance to return my call. We weren’t happy having to eat cold sandwiches after bringing this bile home. When I called, all I got was “have you had our pulled pork before?” Why yes, yes I have. I’ve also had pulled pork from countless other places and I’ve never seen pulled pork like this unless I chewed it up and spit it out.

We ordered pickup for our first at this establishment. It was quick and easy. We ordered brisket dinner and wings. The brisket melted in my mouth! So tender and delicious!! The wings were smoked barbecued and yummy as well. We haven’t gotten to the peanut butter pie we ordered yet, but looking forward to it. We’ll be back!

My trip to this restaurant was actually pretty comical, my party left laughing because it was so rediculous. To start, I went to order a gyro off the menu that was lit up before me. They stated that it was no longer offered (they just opened 2 weeks ago). Then I also don’t appreciate that request tip at payment when you haven’t even evaluated the service you will receive…. which is minimal as you get your own drink and seat yourself. The tables are seated EXTREMELY close together, it is very claustrophobic. In the bar area the tables are only about 4 inches from each other , so you feel like your sitting with strangers. The food was good, but the portions were so small for the price. We all left still a little hungry. And sides are not included with the sandwiches. Just last week a girl I was with was there and they served slaw with her meal, it didn’t come this time. When she inquired about it they said they “ no one liked the slaw, so we stopped serving it with meals”. They were out of pretzel buns. It was just all around a disappointing experience. I won’t return.

Nice BBQ place with hopes of being franchised. The food was good but a little bland across the board. This is good though as they offer sauces and seasonings to build it up to your tastes. Where some places drown their food in sauces and seasoning they make good foundational food and you can do the rest. A large portion of everything.
