Legion Loyalty
This is a great club and we decided to start visiting again because we heard the new owner was working on starting a Legion League for pool tournaments. The new owner, which I heard is the son of the deceased Daryl, has done a fantastic job revitalizing the place. It has gone from run down, dingy, and dirty to clean, modern and remodeled. They refurbished the pool table which hadn’t been done in centuries and was very much needed. The only problem I see with this place is myself and two of my friends were in having drinks and playing pool when an older gentleman interrupted our game and explained we had to “wrap it up” so they could have their practice time. I spoke with another pool player sitting at the bar and he explained to me there were new rules for playing pool and if you were too talented you were limited on how much you were allowed to play or not play at all. I found this very disturbing. I spoke to the bartender expressing my concern and she said the two guys running pool and making these rules are on the board and had the authority to enforce such ridiculous rules. Since then I have not visited the club due to this uninviting atmosphere. I wish the club the best and hope that the new owner can change this and get a pool league started there soon.

Ok y’all, hear me out. This place isn’t the fanciest, but that’s what makes it great. They cook up a steak sexier than a summer dress on a windy day. The char makes you want to run out into the street and yell a high pitched “yeah” at the top of your lungs. The menu is so reasonably priced, and the portions so large, you’ll struggle not leaving a larger tip than you normally would. Know what you’re getting yourself into, Post 71 is full of “regulars”, so you may get an up and down look as an outsider, but the staff are as friendly as can be and will make sure you are well taken care of. Sadly, I missed the memo that the André the Giant worthy T-bone steak is only served on Saturdays and requires a two day in advance RSVP. If you want a good solid meal that won’t break the bank, come over and support Post 71.

Guys, please do not read past this review. Take this extremely seriously. I don’t know how to else to say this except that I just had the best streak I have ever had in my entire life. From the seasonings to the way it melted in my mouth. From the 3 lbs of meat to the way the t-bone could cut with a butter knife. These people are so so so kind and you will 100000% not be disappointed. Come here ready to spend some time, enjoy incredible vibes, and have the best steak you will have ever eaten in your life.

Their breakfast is great! They were busier than expected and short staffed, but they were wonderful!

I don’t even know how to describe my experience right now. The vibes of this place are incredible, the people are so wonderful. The t-bone was seasoned beautifully and cooked to perfection. The bread and salad bar are the perfect pair to the experience of the steak. This place is such a gem, I could not recommend it more.

In the heart of gastronomic delight, where flavors dance with unrestrained joy, stands a sanctuary of culinary splendor. This restaurant, a beacon for those who seek not just to eat but to experience the symphony of taste, invites guests into an ambiance whispering of elegance and warmth. Soft beer sign lighting casts a rosy blue glow, while the gentle hum of bar conversations creates a rhythm that soothes the soul. The aroma alone is enough to transport you, each scent a promise of the wonders that await. From the first taste of the Thousand Island dressing on your salad, to the garlic buttery-ness of the bread, to the smoothest cutting T-Bone steak you have ever encountered —flavors are balanced with precision, a harmonious blend that lingers long after the meal is over.
Service here is more than just attentive; it is an orchestration of grace and efficiency. From Doug’s kind hello, to Mike’s firm fist bump, every need is anticipated (including the emotional ones), every desire fulfilled with a smile that speaks of genuine hospitality. It is this dedication to the guest’s experience that transforms a meal into a memorable occasion. In this restaurant, food is not merely consumed; it is celebrated. Every visit is a journey, every dish a discovery.
At Post 71, dining is not just about satisfying hunger; it is about feeding the soul, showcasing what happens when skill, creativity, and a love for the craft converge.

Never have I felt more American. The T-bone steak here was 10/10. Cooked over a grill with an open fire you can see at the end of the room. This is a classic biker bar feel with the nicest people. Big bang for your buck. Hidden gem for sure

Glad I waited for them to get new servers to do this review. Used to be that our Sunday breakfast ride would end up here and the waitress that used to take orders was slower than a snail and I would always see her in the back eating pieces of bacon and toast while I was out there starving. Now they have an amazing staff who is taking orders amazingly! The lady behind the bar has always been a gem and takes amazing care of my dad and grandpa so she is an exception to my recent rant! They have an absolutely amazing chicken fried steak for breakfast. I highly recommend trying that if you go there!
