Now the service, Top notch, very friendly and personable. And that was from reservation, to the hostess, to the waitress. Very friendly. Would come back and give another chance based off of service and pretzel!
For starters, we tried their Egg Rolls; which are stuffed with corned beef and coleslaw. Scotch Eggs…my first time ever trying them. Very good. Fried pickles…I mean; why not? Also, very good.
Our entrees were chicken-fried-chicken with garlic mashed potatoes. Very tender and juicy. I got traditional fish n chips. Cod fillets tender and crunchy. Put some malt vinegar on it all and it will take you to the top.
Dessert consisted of a slice of their carrot cake. A must have after a good meal like that.
Enjoyed taking in all the Weston history. Delicious food, excellent staff. The BEST tomato soup I’ve ever had! The Irish rolls are Amazing too. Choose to eat inside or on the large patio. Parking is in the back.
Another Great dining experience in Weston.
After your meal take your recipe next door to O’Malley’s it’s a don’t miss as well!
Flights for beer tasting were amazing!!!
We had Chicken Salad (just trying to save room for beer), Ruben Sandwich and Crab Cakes. Yummy!
Cute menu too, literally old school…. A Newspaper
Bad Ass
Thanks for a great visit !
When we checked in and placed our name on the waitlist, we simply asked for an approximate wait time. The hostess (who mentioned she had worked there for 27 years) responded with a rather dismissive and sarcastic remark. Later, we went inside to purchase bottled beers from the cooler behind the hostess stand and were told we would need to go next door to your other location to buy them. Having just left that restaurant and seen a line about 50 people deep, we expressed our frustration. Only then did the hostess agree to sell them to us.
Unfortunately, dinner service reflected a similar attitude—our waitress seemed impatient and unfriendly throughout the meal. While the food itself was good, the overall customer service and tone made the experience disappointing. It appeared to reflect a larger cultural issue within the establishment that might need attention.
I rarely leave reviews, but I believe this feedback is important for internal awareness and improvement. Your staff clearly works hard, but ensuring that guests are treated with respect and courtesy—even during peak times—makes all the difference.
Three of us went, and we tried the spicy mozzarella sticks and the sausage sampler to start. The mozzarella sticks were great, had a nice crust, and the cheese stringy. I was a little disappointed in the sausage sampler, I think I was expecting something different. But there was nothing wrong with the taste. Both options were good.
We also had chicken and chips, cajun chicken pasta, and the Shepards pie. There were no complaints from the table.
Highly recommend checking it out.
