Amedeo’s isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a tradition. Since 1963, we’ve been serving up authentic Italian flavors with a side of NC State pride. Our founder, Amedeo (Dick) DeAngelis, was more than just a restaurateur—he was a former NC State football player whose love for the game and great food inspired what has become a beloved Wolfpack gathering spot. Located right next to campus, Amedeo’s has been a home away from home for students, alumni, and NC State fans for generations.
Casual Italian restaurant & pizzeria with a sports-bar feel, frequented by NC State Wolfpack fans.

The bread was dense and very fresh. We had Baked Ziti w/meat sauce, Creamy Pesto Fetuncini w/chicken, and Fried Fresh Mozzarella. All of it was delicious! Portion sizes were as expected. Pricing was as expected. $49 w/tax 2 people, 1 water, 1 coke..before tip.

Has a hole in the wall feel. The food was great, we got the garlic bread and the fried mozzarella appetizer they were delicious. Our entrees came out pretty quickly and were also amazing. I had the strawberry lemonade drink, and it was perfect. The parking lot was very full on a Tuesday night, but I believe there is more parking around back! Amazing spot!

I wish I could give 5 stars across the board. our waiter, seemed fairly new, very polite. drink orders from the bar took over 30 mins for us to get and one wasnt even right. ordered a bourbon and got scotch. I ordered the chicken rustaco which on the menu said ziti but instead it was linguine noodles, two completely different pastas but ok I went with it because of time and didnt want to hassle with even mentioning it to our server. Food was good and enough for left overs next day.
atmosphere is just ok.

Terrific ambience. Booth seating is just enough space for 4. The pizza’s good, the bread is soft and warm. Salads are tasty too.

food was p good; my shrimps were juicy, good deals on the drinks and other deals by the day
the ncsu decor can be over the top but at least they live up to how much they cater to students somewhat w a weekly deal allowing students to get 50% off their entrees(?) and get their entire meal comped regardless of day
service p much just consists of them taking your order and not much else. we had to wait around for a while until anyone came around so we could ask for our check

We waited seated at the table for more that 30 minutes for a 12 inch pizza and a pasta dish. There was only one other couple customers of the restaurant. The pizza stand was dirty and gross. The pizza and pasta finally came. The pasta was fine, nothing special. The pizza was thin crust, hard and burned on the bottom with raw dough present throughout under the toppings. Pizza was extremely hot especially the raw dough under the toppings. We waited for quite some time for the pizza to cool down yet everyone who tried the Pizza burned their tongue. We cannot eat the Pizza like that.

Food was basic. Pink sauce did not have much flavor, tasted too much like milk. Atmosphere was fun, but a bit loud. Service was good, food came out timely.

I really liked the atmosphere there at Amedeo. The food was also among the best I had in Raleigh. This is a to-go place for large parties or lonely bar times.

Lunch service was atrocious this afternoon. Unfortunately that’s the same reason I haven’t been back in 4+ years. The food was still quite good, but I’m not sure if I’m gonna make it back here again or not….
