I recently had the pleasure of dining at this fantastic Indian restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the perfect tone for an enjoyable evening.
The menu is a delightful treasure trove of authentic Indian cuisine. I decided to try the samosa chaat as an appetizer, and it was bursting with flavor — the perfect balance of spices and textures! For my main course, I opted for the dal makhani and paneer butter masala, both of which were rich, creamy, and utterly delicious. Each dish was generously portioned, ensuring I left completely satisfied.
The service was impeccable. The staff was not only friendly and attentive but also knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations that truly enhanced my dining experience.

First and last time here. Zero atmosphere, service poor. You don’t need a tv in an Indian restaurant! The prosecco was disgusting and the food was bland and tasteless. Also a hair found in our food which is gross. Place was empty, I understand why now. Very expensive for what I’d say was mediocre. Never coming back

We booked Amchur as a last minute decision based on the reviews here. And I’m so glad we did!
We were greeted as soon as we entered the restaurant and shown to our table. We quizzed the waiter as to what dishes we should order as we wanted to try something different. I went for the laal Maas (pretty hot!) and my wife chose the Amchur Himalayan chicken curry, along with some rice and a bread.
We didn’t have to wait too long for our food to be brought to our table. The food was absolutely delicious! Piping hot and so very tasty.
I’d definitely recommend Amchur for the food and the very polite waiter, who continually checked on us throughout our time at the table.
The prices are reasonable and there is no service charge (2 of us dined).
Tip: you cannot park directly outside the restaurant due to parking restrictions. The road behind the restaurant (Albany Road) does not have any restrictions and there were many places to park.
