Had Togo on nov25.. Worst food ever!! Ordered couple of biryanis assuming will get good Briyani z.
Reality: got pudina sadam and kesari color rice. All briyani came with same rice and different in chicken, mutton, fish pieces. If you don’t believe see the photos and find the difference in rice flavors .
Shahi tukda – waste no taste
Worst worst worst ever had.

Tried the following items
Vegetarian Biriyani – They actually did not provide Salan which was a bummer. The taste was okay but not too great.
Gobi 65 – This was pretty good. Would have been better if served hot.
Bread Halwa – This was good too. Correct level of sweetness.

I tried mutton roast appetiser, chicken roast biryani , paratha and chicken salan.
Must try – paratha and chicken salan. It’s delicious and spices are at correct level.
Highly disappointed-
1. mutton roast is chewy and undercooked.
2. Chicken roast biryani has so much oil in it , rice is literally soaked in oil and you can easily mix 1 Lb rice in it.
I won’t recommend biryani from here.

The food was awesome and we can’t thank enough to offer to dine in though we stepped in late and they closed already . We got to try Ambur Mutton roast biriyani and Thalapakettu chicken roast biriyani , the quantity was himangous and cooked well! The chef also stopped by to talk to us and we are more tempted to try the Malabar porotta n salan next time..A must try place !

Ordered out chicken and mutton roast biryani along with their bread halwa.
Chicken roast – 5/5
Mutton roast – 3/5
bread halwa was good but very thick
Overall, it was satisfactory. They also have unlimited pani puri, but i felt 14.99$ per person is a bit too much. Wish they can start smaller plates for pani puri instead of unlimited.

Tried the madras mutton roast biryani. It was out of this world! It tasted like it can right off the fire. The roast was rich and moist but not too greasy. The mutton pieces with the roast melted in my mouth. In fact, the first thing I tried was a fatty mutton piece that was glistening with roast spices. It was heaven! Reminded me of mutton roast that my aunts would prepare in Kerala. There were a lot of pieces, each one soft and rich, these folks are not pulling any punches. The salad and raita went well with the biriyani. It was also served beautifully in a copper bottom kadai. Highly recommend!

This restaurant doesn’t know the basics of how to manage orders or time. There was no line upon arrival, just a bunch of people trying to push their way to the front and ask for their order. How can you offer a 50% off deal and not expect and prepare for a larger amount of customers? How can you not know how to create a basic line for customers to stand in so they can get their orders properly in the order they arrived? I didn’t want to bother trying to squeeze my way into the crowd of people so I cancelled my order and left. They were also making orders on the spot rather than having a place for orders to be set out on a table somewhere. Horrible management and lack of common sense.

I made the mistake of trying biryani here because of the name. It was a rip off. They just put appetizers in the recipe and created a new biryani out of it. It doesn’t taste good. Both the biryanis I ordered were just cinnamon loaded rice. There was nothing “ambur” style about it. The chicken 65 was dry and lacked flavor, but I can live with it. Sorry to post a bad review but your biryani is not good at all.

I recently tried out food as to-go from this place after discovering the new place while driving along Tasman. While looking for reviews for this place, I saw really polarized opinions in quality of food, taste and the place.
Overall, I like the food. I tried out chicken roast biryani, goat roast biryani and chicken varuval. The Biryanis are quite tasteful in the style of Thalappakatti biryani, found in the dishes of Dindigul and Ambur area. The rice is the usual samba rice, which is different from the Dum biryani style or the North Indian style for that matter. Also, unlike the Dum biryani, this biryani is not cooked in layers of meat, spice and rice. However, the taste is quite authentic and spice level is also quite decent, at least for my palate.
I can’t give 5 stars because of 2 reasons. Firstly the goat pieces need to be cooked a little bit more, they were a little chewy. Secondly, the staff member at the reception was not courteous at all, don’t know how to greet people, behaved just very blunt and bored at seeing me as a customer.
I think this place serves good food but there’s lot of places for improvement.

Mutton briyani was good. But the mutton was cooked separately. I don’t remember ambur briyani cooked this way. But briyani rice had ambur flavour. Nothing to complain about taste.
Gobi 65 and chicken 65 were exactly what we get in tamil nadu. Taste was good as well.
Salon was missing but I understand it might have been over considering inaugural offers. If that not the case, please add the tamil nadu salon
