Ambi Wine Bar (“ahm-bee”) & Desserts, Anoka’s first official wine bar was founded by Anokans who share a vision for the city’s future and a commitment to improving the community. The bar’s historic ambiance pairs a warm, cafe vibe with the energy of live acoustic music and art rotating galleries from local artists. Ambi’s menu features a strong assortment of wines as well as a curated variety of small bites, desserts from local Anoka businesses, beer, cocktails, and of course brunch. On select days of the week, Ambi’s bar space is available for private events. Ambi opened in the spring of 2019.

The service was great. Recommended wine flight was very good. The nachos were very good too but the cheese from the nachos was sticking Really bad to the paper and it made it hard to eat without eating paper. It was hot outside but but it was only like 60° in the restaurant, making it so cold to wear your summer clothes. Beautiful place, wish the temperature were regulated better.

I was looking for a coffee shop that’s open little late to meetup a friend and I found this place. To my surprise, this place is so cozy, cool, and comfortable atmosphere. Staff members are so friendly and welcoming. I loved they had so many non-alcohol drink options and it was great! It was kinda rainy and looking outside with amazing music collection they played, I did not want to leave! I will definitely going back there. Highly recommended.

My cousin and I visited on a Saturday afternoon, and it was busy but not over-crowded. We ordered wine flights and a grazing board, and everything was so lovely! We did have a little mishap with the board, but they handled it so quickly and with grace. We loved our visit and will be back.

The food and service by Madalyn was wonderful. I recently started a gluten free diet, so I was a little worried that I wouldn’t be able to find anything to eat. The gluten free flatbread was amazing and much bigger than I was expecting. My family members who had the regular flatbread said they liked mine just as much, even though it was gluten free. The wine flight was also so good and gelato was delicious. There was one glass of wine that my sister didn’t love, and Madalyn took it back with no questions asked and gave her something she liked better. We will definitely be coming back!

Ambi is always a pleasant place to spend the evening. They often have live music and their seasonal patio is enjoyable. They recently updated their menu items, which is a nice refresh. UPDATE: still love Ambi. I love their partnership with Truffles and Tortes to have dessert. Also the Salted Caramel Gelato is soooo good. I also enjoy that they offer wine flights, it’s such a great way to share or try a variety.

I have an irrevocably loyalty to this place. First, the staff and management is amazing – all around. That is sooo huge nowadays. They recognize regulars and make them feel so welcome Second, amazing happy hour. So amazing I want to gate-keep it but I end up telling everyone i know. Third, great wine, snacks and desserts! My friend group and I have been coming here for about a year or so, and we absolutely love it. Do yourself a favor and check this place out ❤️ also – there’s live music on Wednesdays ans Thursdays!!
