It was a calm Tuesday afternoon. My partner and I decided we wanted a calm day at home so we ordered food from this restaurant to go. This restaurant is actually just a ghost kitchen operating out of an event center, but I really hope they open up their own brick and mortar, cause the food was awesome. We ordered one of their combo plates that came with pork katsu, pork tenderloin, and ebi katsu. We also ordered the cheese katsu on top of that. Everything was so good. The panko breading was really light and crunchy and the pork was all very tender. The sauces were also awesome and everything really balanced out. I also love the addition of the hot mustard as it really helps cut the richness of each dish. Though the food was a bit expensive overall when including tax and tip, it was definitely some of the best katsu I have had in the bay.

I was in town for work and followed the amazing reviews here for dinner one night. It was phenomenal! Highly recommend! This is just a takeout spot and inside the event center. But parking is easy, and by the time I drove over there for PU it was ready and packaged well. I’ll be back next time I’m in town.

Great katsu! The coat is super crispy but also light, the seasoning is very delicious, juicy meat, and the sauce + mustard goes so well with the katsu! The combination also comes with a huge serving of shredded cabbage, good to get the greens in. The store is inside an event center, no dining area at all.

Pretty out of the place katsu restaurant, overall it was solid.
Their pork tenderloin katsu was the best out of the three I tried, the other two were fine but honestly nothing special.

Pricing is a bit high for what I ordered but there aren’t that many places like this so I can understand, would recommend if you enjoy katsu.

I was excited to finally try this place after hearing great things. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, but the portion sizes were surprisingly small for the price point. The value just didn’t match the cost.

Cost: $21

It’s exciting to see a brand new Japanese tonkatsu place in Santa Clara!

Breading
Crispy and fluffy as it should be, but it got a bit soggy on the bottom by the time we got home.

Meat
No pork smell at all—worthy of praise . However, it seemed like it wasn’t marinated beforehand, so it lacked flavor and needed the sauce. The texture was soft but not tender, with some graininess that sometimes felt a bit dry (see picture).

Sides
Included miso soup, potato salad, and shredded cabbage. The sides were thoughtful and decent overall! The rice could use some improvement…

The portions are large and tasty, but not mind-blowing—keep your expectations in check and you might be pleasantly surprised! For those craving Japanese tonkatsu, it’s worth a try.

The katsus here are absolutely delicious.

I have been looking to try cheese katsus like the ones in South Korea and this is the best I have had in the South Bay so far. Their Signature Amazing Katsu turns cheese katsus up a notch with the added flavors of the vegetables. The Pork Tenderloin Katsu is very tender and moist. Their katsu sauce is full of umami.

The cheese katsus here are 90% cheese and 10% meat. If there was an option to get both the Signature Amazing and Pork Tenderloin katsu cuts together, that would be amazing!!

We ordered ahead of time through DoorDash and did pick-up. They are located inside Elite Event Center.

Amazing Katsu truly lives up to its name, delivering the pinnacle of Japanese-style fried pork cutlets. Even through Doordash delivery, the food arrived with the crust still perfectly crispy and the interior juicy and tender. It’s clear that the restaurant has put a lot of effort into ensuring that their takeout and delivery items maintain excellent quality and texture.

The portion of lettuce provided was extremely generous, and the accompanying dressing was a delightful surprise—well-balanced with a sweet and tangy flavor that elevated the refreshing crunch of the lettuce. The rice was cooked to perfection, each grain distinct yet soft and satisfying. Initially, I had some reservations about ordering fried food for delivery, but this experience completely erased any doubts I had.

If you’re a fan of fried pork cutlets, this place is an absolute must-try. While the presentation might not match that of dine-in options, in terms of flavor, Amazing Katsu easily ranks as one of the best I’ve had in the Bay Area. Without a doubt, I’ll be ordering again, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a great katsu experience!

The katsu was alright. Rather dry and tasteless compared to the juicy katsu in Japan. Although I got home within 25 minutes, and despite their efforts to ensure crispy katsu (by cutting a slot on the box), the panko beneath the katsu was soggy.

I ordered the combination katsu. They forgot to give the potato salad, cabbage salad, and rice that was promised on the menu. I could only eat the meat by itself with the miso soup. The cheese katsu had only a paper-thin amount of pork on the outside. The tenderloin katsu was really small, only a little croquette in size. Only the regular katsu was a normal size.

The panko, sogginess notwithstanding, was pretty good and the katsu sauce was great (not too sweet).

Overall, I was super excited for the first and only thick cut katsu place but was left disappointed.

I have had this place a couple of times and the food has been good. Today I ordered pickup from this place and arrived promptly to find what I’ve ordered to be completely cold – room temp. Obviously they have used a leftover item for this order. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior and I can’t believe they tried to get away with it.
