Amato Bros in Oaklyn has a casual, friendly, neighborhood vibe. But this hometown bar-deli-catering-restaurant goes beyond typical bar food. It offers classic bar food favorites (burgers, wings) with an elevated homemade flair. You can tell the meats, rolls, wings, and appetizers are all made with high-quality ingredients. Their extensive American cuisine menu features a strong nod to homemade Italian dishes. Options for vegan dishes are also available. And a major plus, everything is reasonably priced! Amen to that.
The dining area has a full bar with a wide selection of beers and craft cocktails.
I deem cleanliness in restaurants super important, and all areas in dining room (tables, chairs, the floor, and bathrooms) were super clean.
Our waitress Marlene was friendly, with a positive attitude and a welcoming smile. She had that rare, perfect pacing—attentive without being overbearing—always ensuring we had everything we needed.
I look forward to going back.

I’ve been there a couple times now after finding this little hole on Whitehorse Pike that is not a hole at all Me and my girlfriend went there because I’ve heard about the ratings And we were not let down. I just ordered nachos( the big ones) and a French onion cheese cheesesteak I have two complaints about this order. The first complaint is that the cheesesteak is way too soggy I had to eat it with a fork and knife. I couldn’t even pick it up and the chips are way too soggy. This could’ve been avoided by putting a bunch of four holes in the aluminum pan lid To let the steam escape Everything is just so so soggy The food is still phenomenal But everything is just like so so soggy I don’t even know how to explain it. It’s like somebody took a water hose and just sprayed everything down.
That is a chip a tortilla chip wrapped around my finger. It’s so wet. I was able to wrap it around my finger.
If you dine in, you’ll never have food like it if you order takeout, you better not call ahead.

Loved this place on my first try. I drove about 30 min but so worth it. Can’t wait to go back and try eveything else. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent. Definitely will be returning real soon.

We wanted an inexpensive dinner and this little place fit the bill, for sure. Denise behind the bar was as nice as she could be, and she’d be one of the reasons we’ll come back. I had a Bay Breeze and my handsome dining partner had a Manhattan that was strangely reddish, but he liked it a lot. Piping hot mozzarella sticks started us off, with marinara that was equally hot. Normally we don’t eat Cheese Wiz, but it was one of those days today when it was fine on the fries. We both had small steaks, mine with Cooper Sharp and his was a pizza steak with onions. They were not dry even if they looked it. Really nice people at the bar. I definitely recommend this place.

Seriously, the food quality is unmatched every time. When you’re feeling something easy, THIS IS WHERE TO GO. Easy, but never mediocre, down to the side of cole slaw. Not to mention the affordability and convenience which makes it impossible not to stop in. Unfortunately, I only remembered to take a photo of our appetizer this visit. Our server, Angela is consistently professional, friendly, and extremely efficient. I will continue to bring my friends & family here!

Great Neighborhood hangout for that upcoming Superbowl event . Restaurant, bar, take out deli on the side. My cheesesteak was fantastic , stuffed with meat it took 2 hands to hold it. The potato salad was good. They have pizzas too.

I just attended a weekend retreat; it was catered by Amato Brothers. Wow! They served us delicious meals throughout the weekend and even gave us takeout boxes to take the leftovers back home with us. They prepared a few hot items at each meal and they were delicious! Pasta with marinara, meatballs, roast beef w/gravy, chicken cutlets, sausage and peppers, pasta with shrimp and asparagus. I’m sure I’m forgetting something! Breakfast was scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage… We really appreciate your attention to delicious detail! See you in the spring! South Jersey Women’s Emmaus

I can honestly say over the many years I’ve never had a sub par meal only really great meals, either at the restaurant or for delivery. Michelle’s meatballs are the best. Cheese steaks with long hots and broccoli rabe and hoagies worth every penny!
