$18 for this is an actual joke. Some of the slices didn’t even have meat on them. Charging that price for any small size pizza should be a crime but we still decided to give it a chance. This is the disappointing we got. The taste was very mid definitely not worth $18 tho. It’s getting very hard to support small businesses in this community due to the price gouging. This was our first and last time ordering from here.

The ghost pepper pizza was not nearly as spicy as I had hoped. It had a good flavor and crust, but it would have been great with more sauce or chopped chilis. The pizzas are all very pricey.

For 20 dollars they gave world smallest pizza, even though I select medium size and pay extra for medium, cheap, cheater and fraud people. Don’t recommend anyone and if possible will complain to consumer rights to DHS office

I was recently vacationing on Lake Huron and a local asked me if I’d been to Amar Pizza and suggested we stop there on our way home. I was quite intrigued that I was being recommended a place to try that was over 2 hours away from where we were, but stopped we did, and damn I’m so glad we did!

First, how on Earth does this place have an average rating of a 4? The low ratings must be from a long time ago because this place runs extremely well and they have mastered their unique pizza. This place is one to go to and one to tell all your friends about.

We were planning on ordering 2 small deep dish pizzas- a Naga and a Tandoori, but we ended up ordering a large and they were willing to split the pizza in half- which was a cost savings and super nice of them, for the same amount of pizza.

The cashier was super welcoming and friendly and walked us through the menu and I thought her customer service was top notch. We ordered our pizza and were quoted 20 minutes, and it was ready in a little less time than that. The pizza was made fresh and boiling hot from the oven.

Both pizzas belong in their own category of food. They are pizza but they also taste like something else. The components were well mastered- the crust was crispy and fluffy, and tasted a bit like a light focaccia. The flavors were well balanced- not too greasy or spicy or hot- really just perfect. I love the way they chop red onions, it really allows you to get the full onion flavor which I love.

The interior was modest but clean. There was bulletproof glass like other reviewers mentioned. I’m not from the area but the neighborhood seemed safe, just not a white area, and I would have eaten inside if I didn’t have dogs waiting in the car.

They have an extensive of typical and more unique beverages. I couldn’t resist trying the Mango Pepsi, which was delicious.

The prices were incredibly reasonable- I spent $40 that covered four meals. And the pizza was really good reheated too. They charge a 4% fee to pay with a credit card.

I marked this as a place to definitely return next time Im in the area. Thanks Amar Pizza for a great experience!

So jealous of anyone who gets to live near this gem – tried the naga & dry fish pizza. Super flavorful and lightly spicy without being crazy salty (a thin line in Desi food…). I can see why this place is so widely recommended. Will be a necessary pit stop any time I’m back in town.

We tried the famous “Dry Fish Pizza” aka “Shutki Pizza”. The taste was okay, it’s not an item you’d order again and again, but definitely worth a try.

We also ordered the “Naga Wings” and those were to die for! They have different spice levels for the wings, and it was really tasty!

Would definitely return!

We use to order from here frequently back when the large pizzas were around $15 – $16. It seems that when they got popular they raised the prices. Now, 1 large round naga pizza and 1 large cheese bread costs $46. That’s just ridiculous. Especially considering that most of that is dough (cost pennies). The pizzas tastes ok with their unusual ethnic flair but usually really dry and the crust is dense and really chewy, some times too much, not light and airy like you would expect from a $30 pizza. There isn’t any consistency really.
Just seems like the quality went down and the prices went up.
Is it worth trying? If you can afford it but sadly, there really isn’t any value for the price you pay.
