This place may be tiny, but it packs a serious punch. Come hungry, no, come with a BIG appetite because the portions and flavors do not hold back.
A Mano is an intimate, handmade pasta spot that has quickly built a loyal following for doing one thing exceptionally well: fresh, comforting Italian food made by hand (which is exactly what “a mano” means). With only about 7–8 tables, it feels more like a hidden neighborhood gem than a restaurant, and they also offer takeout if you can’t snag a seat. Pro tip: try to visit outside of peak hours to make getting a table easier.
The staff is absolutely lovely, warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly. From the moment you walk in, the simple, homey décor makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a Nonna’s kitchen, where everything is made with love and zero shortcuts.
They serve pizzas and pastas, but if you trust me on one thing, order the Fat Baby. This is the real good, gooey stuff. A sourdough cone wrapped around your choice of pasta, with the sauce and noodles cascading from the top… indulgent, messy, and completely worth it. Honestly, that dish alone is all you need. Spectacular.
I’ve been here twice already and will absolutely be back.
Highly recommend. ✨
That’s what I felt about the “fat baby” posts.
A bit skeptical.
Amano ( @amanolasvegas ) blew my mind. Not only was the fettuccine alfredo with added shrimp divine, it was the perfect pre-half marathon carb load. I also devoured their garlic knots covered in a truffle mushroom cream sauce, and a super flavorful strawberry vanilla italian cream soda. This was easily over 3K “Michael Phelps” calorie stack.
This was my fastest half at 3:08.
The place is small and quaint so I was even more relieved we made a reservation, and the table was ready for us upon arrival. Our party had fun drawing on the paper table covers and looking at the other guests’ fat babies (the main reason we were there). Our server was so cheerful and nice and attentive, even noticed we had a birthday in the party and brought the celebrant a merengue cookie with a candle.
The food was all delicious! The fat baby is pretty big so those who ordered one shared it. The pizza baby was a hit too and satisfied the pizza and pasta craving. The rice balls were really nice-kind of like fried risotto balls with spaghetti marinara. Besides the eggplant parmigiana we also got the pumpkin parmigiana and both were equally delicious. The pumpkin was soft but not mushy, so good! The zeppoles came with dipping chocolate, I wish we got another order. There was a lot of other things we ordered that I didn’t try but everyone was really happy with their meals. We will definitely be going back to try more things!
What a great experience! We came specifically for the famous Pizza Baby (a cone of cheese pizza filled with Chicken Alfredo pasta), and it was definitely a blast. My husband and I shared it and still had leftovers, which our extremely nice and attentive waitress kindly packed up for us.
Don’t skip the sides! The garlic knots were phenomenal—I could eat a whole buffet of them! I also really enjoyed the Italian cream soda; it was a fun twist, like a cream soda root beer float.
A quick note on price: It was a little pricey, so be mindful of your budget. But honestly, it was a wonderful, worthwhile experience that I would have spent that money on the slot machines anyway! Highly recommend this spot.
A lovely touch: they provide colored pencils to draw on the paper mats. Our food arrived so quickly, though, I barely had time to finish a doodle!
