If I were to weigh the quality of the food, the atmosphere and the experience evenly, I would be giving a two star review. Luckily, the delicious food earned Amango an extra star. I will not be returning, though.

The good:
My food was delicious and the presentation was nice. I ordered a sandwich with assorted barbecued meats and the egg rolls. My dining partner ordered the ONLY vegetarian meal on the menu, the tofu pho. They came out looking beautiful, and there was a LOT of food for the price. I enjoyed the flavors of all three items quite a bit. Unfortunately, that’s where the good stops.

The bad:
Vegetarians: Stay away. In the past (I’m thinking under different ownership,) the menu and staff were very vegetarian friendly. This time though there were only two appetizers and one entree that were vegetarian. When my mother asked if they could make any of the sandwiched vegetarian, the waitress said they only had one option for her, and pointed to the one thing on the menu. She said several of the sandwiches on the menu were no longer available.

Cleanliness: There was obvious staining and residue on the glass divider at our table which was a little distressing. The bottles at the table were sticky. The counter area seemed dusty and sticky, and from what little I could see of the kitchen it looked unclean with streaking and residue on surfaces. Not an environment I would eat in again.

There was also a can of Hot Shot Roach Spray sitting in the floor which certainly wasn’t comforting. Restaurants get bugs sometimes, but the thought of aerosol poison being used around food was a little unnerving.

Enjoy being solicited while eating? No? Me either. A man came in selling candy bars, and the waitress told him he could go ask the customers. I was mortified when I heard her say it was ok. He went around table to table trying to sell the customers candy bars. At a restaurant. It was incredibly uncomfortable.

The whole situation was just weird and unpleasant. I almost wish the food was bad so I could just completely disregard this place, but it was very good. If good food is your only concern and you don’t have any special dietary restrictions, then you might want to check out Amango – I’d probably ask for takeout though.

First time eating Vietnamese. The staff were very friendly and the service was quick. There was a lot more food than we were expecting, which was great. Can’t say I had anything to complain about this visit.

Soup was good and hot on a chilly rainy day. Fresh basil for hot broth. Vegetable fried rice seemed sweet to me and did not appeal to my palate. Large portions for both plates. Very nice chef and wait staff. Clean restaurant.

Food is delicious! A little expensive for the small portions, but you will be filled up! I’ll definitely go back! Got the combo pho, beef salad, and BBQ beef. BBQ tastes good but dish overall isn’t worth the price.

The house special noodle salad was fantastic. All of the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The meats were chargrilled to perfection. It’s unfortunate that so few people have discovered this gem. There were only four people here at 6:30 on a Friday evening.

Great Pho, great Banh Mi. I think it’s the best Vietnamese food in NW Ohio, but I haven’t tried them all in the same month. I lived in Vietnam and in California and this is just as good! Except in Vietnam everything is $1-3 😉

Not very well known but just wonderful Vietnamese food. From pho to ban mi everything is great. It can get quite busy sometimes with in house and to go orders so there can be a little bit of wait, but it’s family run and everyone does what they need top top get the food out. The noodles are great too, soups are all made with broth that tastes like it has been simmering for days (like proper pho), and there are always fresh basil and bean sprouts to add.

So I was really looking forward to eating Pho’ today… I was told this place is great, went in celling tiles are missing, looks like water damage. We got our Pho’ it looked great, and taste pretty good. They didn’t have bean sprouts, the waitress found some brought them to us they had brown ends and smelled like mildew. The worst part is after eating some of my pho’ I notice a bug floating upside down, turned it over it was a roach… I’ll never return now…

This is a fantastic Vietnamese restaurant. Very simple and not pretentious in the slightest. The menu is not cluttered with options so its easy to order new things. I like the beef pho and the spring rolls are outstanding!

I tried this restaurant for the first time and the food was great. Reminded me of the Vietnamese restaurant I frequent when I was in Cincinnati. I ordered the seafood Pho and shrimp spring rolls and was very pleased with my meal. I will definitely be a returning customer
