Sergio, the owner and chef, was so pleasant. Everything was wonderful. The food was so fresh you could taste it. I felt like I was in Italy or in my Nonna‘s kitchen. 10/10 recommend

If you were to stand at this (always busy) intersection you could throw a rock in any direction and hit a restaurant. But lo and behold there’s a new contender vying for your attention and I can’t lie… Amalfi Specialties has already leap-frogged over the likes of long-running delis like Muriale’s and Apetizzio’s.
I’ve been there now for both pranzo (lunch) and cena (dinner) and each time has been spectacular.
Maybe a bit pricier than what you’re expecting but the quality, the portion size, and the ridiculous amount of flavor and love put into each meal… it’s definitely worth it.
Inside it’s a small and warm little establishment that might transport you (back) to Italy but instead of the stunning view of the Tyrrhenian Sea you’re stuck with… Wendy’s.
The owner is such a genuinely nice (and talented) guy that I’m hoping everyone will give Amalfi a shot.
(A few tables to eat in, small/focused menu, BYOB, parking can be rough.)

Sergio is an amazing chef! It’s feels like entering into a piece of Italy. Delicious home made Italian dishes in a cozy romantic space. The pasta is so tasty and the mozzarella… mamma Mia!

Went for Valentine’s together with my husband. 2026. Our first time. We were impressed by the way they set up. Very vibe. Great service. Great personalities. DELICIOUS FOOD. OMG. Little piece of Italy right here in Lyndhurst!! Great portions. Great prices. Will be back!!!!! (Even brought us out some Mozzarella he made fresh that day for free. And wow so delicious)

Authentic Italian food that is absolutely lovely! Everything is very fresh and the owner is very kind. We tried the meatballs, chicken, mozzarella, salad, and bread. Will definitely get pasta next time

This place is like walking into a trattoria in Southern Italy. The owner is a wonderful man that is recently here from Naples. The food is INCREDIBLE!! It’s the best and most authentic Italian restaurant in this area. Try anything and you will see what I mean. The meatballs, lasagna, eggplant parm, broccoli rabe,fresh mozzarella, even his espresso. Bravissimo Sergio!!! Sempre delizioso!!

I got a meatball sub with the broccolini and it was I would say’s close to 10/10. I make some of the best meatballs and I get them everytime I eat at Italian restaurants and I can say that you should try the meatballs! Service is also great. The guy is proud of his work you can tell how he expresses how good his food is. Go here if you in the area and enjoy.
