I have been eating their BQ over 30 yrs. But today it was different. The food wasn’t fresh but tasked like leftovers. I hope they don’t lose the good quality that they use to have. I was very disappointed today.

They usually have wonderful food but I sent s/o to pick it up and I was terribly disappointed. I ordered 2lbs. bbq with fixings a quart of pastry and a quart of stew. Oh my!!! The bbq must have been the last for that Saturday and the hush puppies were hard as a rock. The stew is as like vegetable soup. It was not thick at all. We heated it and added crackers for vegetable soup. The only thing that was marvelous was the chicken pastry. It was so good. I tried calling them back but there was no answer. I don’t know what happened in the kitchen on that weekend but their food is usually not like that. I wasted $60 on this family dinner.

It’s good & the slaw but I and three ppls. Feels disappointment about we get more slaw than barbeque. That’s disappointing 2 us I also heard a lady telling the cashier about the last she got a little barbeque.

Always good and always friendly. True down east BBQ , fried chicken and slaw it’s grand. Just had the fried trout plate and it was perfect. I normally just get BBQ and chicken. Eat in or take out and they cater too.

I drive over an hour off my return trip to Baltimore from Raleigh to bring barbecue back to friends. Outstanding staff and great barbecue!! Don’t change a thing. Nice to find a place that is always consistent with service and food. Peace ☮️
