We had the sugar and fig preserve burger! So amazing ! Highly recommend ! The quantity of food was so much but so flavorful! The fixings in the burger were great! Fries were also really good! Location was amazing near the river and it had a very nice patio area!

Owner and staff are incredibly friendly! We enjoyed the delicious and burgers and fries. We arrived shortly before the rain so we didn’t get to linger in the adorable outdoor seating area amidst the roaming chickens, but it would be a wonderful on a sunny day. Thank you for the welcoming atmosphere and delightful experience ✨️

My family was thrilled to find this little gem open tonight when so many other restaurants are closed for the season or close early in the day.

I got a lamb and beef gyro, which was one of the best I have had ever. The meat was soft and delicate and perfectly seasoned. The tzatziki, vegetables and feta were perfectly portioned. It was perfection!

My husband got a burger with green chilies and sauteed mushrooms that I had to steal a bite of. My favorite part of visiting New Mexico is green chilies on everything in this place certainly did them justice!

My kids got a kiwi burger and a sugar burger and they are both equally delicious! Both were very unique combinations of ingredients that work well together.

Everyone loved the fries as well. One of the kids commented on them looking different from regular fries but my husband said “yeah, but that’s how you know that they are amazing!”

We took our food to go because it was very cold and we had been outside all day, but had it been a nice day, it’s a great little spot to dine. Lots of picnic tables and a large parking lot overlook the Rio Grande with beautiful mountains behind.

Hey Santa Fe peeps who ski Taos! I highly recommend ordering online from Aly’s a la Cart or Aly’s at Sugars on your way home from the mountain. Ordering online is super easy and you can pick a time to have your food ready. Aly’s in Taos next to Cids is open until 8, so you can stay awhile and eat there or pick up at Aly’s at Sugars (closes at 6) and head right to Santa Fe.
The food is delicious and filling, and who wants to cook after a day on the slopes?!?
I always get the chicken shawarma and fries, but everything is so tasty! Try the NEw Zealand meat pies!!!

Came for the gyros left with food poisoning! My daughter and wife have been puking since Friday evening and it’s Monday. Will not be back. Not sure how to contact you directly as your response did not include contact details. My daughter had the kids cheeseburger, add fries, my wife had the lamb/beef gyro and I had the half portion fish and chips (did not finish). Cheeseburger tasted off, according to my daughter, so we told her to quit eating it. While I didn’t get sick, I couldn’t eat all day Saturday. We think it was the ketchup that was on our table, stored outside in the sun. Both my wife and daughter had lots of ketchup, I only had like one bite.

I grew up a with the old Sugars and was of course saddened when it closed. But Aly’s resurrection of the restaurant to what it is now is superb! My family and I have been loving the burgers, salads and gyros. I am torn between the Falafel and chicken gyros, and the reinvented Sugar Burger is, in my opinion, world’s better than the OG. I am so happy that this place is here in the canyon!

Amazing! So lucky to have amazing gyros and burgers in this location. Absolutely worth stopping for the food and a visit to the Gas Museum just down the road. I recommend the chicken Shawarma gyro or the green Chile burger with a Dr. pepper or a locally made root beer. *Chef’s kiss*

This was my second time visiting, I came last month in September and the service was absolutely amazing. The young man who took our orders went above and beyond and the food was also tasty. I came again last week and was very disappointed! The young woman who took our orders was rude and unfriendly from the get go. We ordered the Sugar Daddy and Sugar Burger (same order as my previous visit) but they forgot mushrooms on both burgers. I went up and asked if they could give us some, and the young woman said “no” – no sorry, no explanation. Will not be visiting again.

I got the gyro and it came torn, not enough fillings. It came with the wrong sauce and almost no meat. It was wrapped wrong and the server took the order wrong. Overall awful experience, I would not go again.
