We catered Always Yours for our special day, and we’re ecstatic to say that we made the grand slam choice from all our dessert tastings.
We received countless compliments from our guests on how delightful the dessert bar was. Natalie designed and brought us a dazzling display. The Asian-inspired flavors were immaculate, the macaroons were incredibly fresh and crispy (in-store variants may not do them justice), and cake buttercream was light and fluffy. Each guest had around 1.25 servings each.

I arrived when the shop was about to close so there were not a lot of cake options. I got the Japanese style pumpkin cheesecake. It turns out to be very good! Very smooth with gentle flavor of pumpkin and spices. We rationed it so that we can taste it longer. Even after a few days, the cake is still moist and delicious. And I guess this is not even a popular item. I definitely would love to try other items next time.

Having Asian flavors for our wedding dessert bar was important to us, and we searched high and low for a vendor that both produced delicious desserts and would be able to deliver to Sonoma Coast for our wedding. We are so thankful for Always Yours! From the very beginning, the experience was easy and seamless. Their catering options were easily accessible online, and we appreciated the many photo examples on their website. After filling out their contact form, we got a response from a sales representative quickly. We visited the bakery to try out both their cake and dessert tasting boxes, and we were sold! They were very generous with their portions in the tasting boxes – we even had to give some away to our friends and family. It was actually quite difficult to choose which flavors and desserts we wanted because we loved them all. We ended up going with “The Grand” catering package with the following:

Cupcakes – cookies and cream
Mini cheesecakes
Mini fruit tarts
Mini lemon meringue tarts
Ube crinkle cookies

I personally got and enjoyed the Ube Crinkle Cookie. A very soft center crunchy edges and a sweet buttery flavor making it a very delicious purchase.

I first started going to Always Yours Bakery in Castro Valley and picking a couple of macarons every couple months and loved all the cute decorations and cafe feel to the place. The staff are all friendly and the drinks they have are pretty good. I usually get the peach oolong tea or Earl Grey Creme Brulé. Both have a nice fresh brewed tea flavor but if you like something more creamy or sweet then the Earl Grey is better.
Because I loved her desserts I ordered catering for my engagement party and all of the macarons came perfect with a nice crisp, flavors were present and not overly sweet which is a must for my Asian family. Everyone loved the macarons so much that there went any left by end of party. The panna cottas and tiramisu were also crowd hits as well and had good flavor without being overly sweet. The texture also wasn’t too watery which is something I notice some other caterers services have with panna cottas.
Natalie helped to set up macarons for my wedding which helped out to save us time to take care of other tasks and presentations was pretty because it showcased the photo I had her put on the macarons for the wedding. She also was one of the easiest vendors to work with and have affordable pricing, quick response time, and showed up on time. Had an amazing experience and will use her catering services in future for more events.

Cute little cafe in the Castro Valley Shopping Center. Not a lot of seating inside, I think there is more seating outside. Bright and inviting decor, friendly staff and some brilliant desserts. There are a few discounts for Veterans and Yelp Check ins, so be sure to look physically around the store for promotions. I only say the signs after I already ordered.

Exactly as described! A Souffle Cheesecake! Excellent texture; part Souffle and part Cheesecake! Typical Asian praise: Not too sweet! lol. Brilliant Mango flavor, very well balanced, not too strong, not too heavy either.

Wow! Honestly, I didn’t expect this to be that good! While it is slightly on the sweeter side, it’s absolutely brilliant! For the past few years Always Yours Bakery Cafe has been my go to place to order my granddaughter’s birthday cakes in December. Their Boba cake is moist and flavorful not to mention the cute design and their cookie tart decorated with fresh fruit and their delicious macarons, little crispy tender treats with unique fillings (my favorite is the white rabbit). This year I am looking forward to tasting the matcha tiramisu cake I ordered which is the new favorite flavor of my granddaughter. Every treat I’ve had at the bakery from the macarons and cakes to the cookies (especially the Ube cookie with a texture that reminds me of a cookie brownie) to the light Japanese soufflé cheesecakes were excellent so I am sure my granddaughter will love this year’s matcha birthday cake.

This is a long overdue review for Always Yours Bakery Cafe! I wanted to order a custom cake for my husband’s birthday and they were able to do a rush order. Pricing was reasonable and worth every penny for the amazing work they put in for our cake!
It was super easy to fill out their online form. Their team is quick to respond and accommodating. And the pastry team is so talented! I ordered a capybara themed cake and it turned out so cute! Lots of intricate details and it was exactly what I ordered.
I got the hojicha flavor and was impressed. The flavor was light and the buttercream was not too heavy. Definitely meets the “not too sweet” standard. The cake crumb was moist, tender, and fluffy. Our family loved everything about this cake! We’re definitely going to order another cake for future birthdays and other celebrations.
Their other desserts are also very good. We love their macarons, lemon tart, and Japanese cheesecake. All delicious and special for any occasion!

I had the pleasure of working with Natalie & Always Yours Bakery for our last wedding of the event season! Always Yours Bakery has the best tiny desserts, boba, and service!
