Nice place. We ordered beef fajitas and beef tacos.
We were disappointed, they used yellow corn tortillas for tacos, in my opinion, yellow corn has a strong flavor that takes away the flavor of meat and add to that, that they were cold and hard to chew, I had to ask for flour tortillas. So I ended up eating burritos. The fajitas are done from flank steak beef, instead they serve low quality beef, cut in little squares. (Fajitas are cut in stripes, fallowing the thread of the flank).

SO BOMB! My absolute favorite spot to go. Hands down the best and most authentic Mexican food I’ve had. And I’ve been to a lot of places! Everyone is always super helpful and kind. We get seated right away. The place is large enough for lots of people but you never feel crowded. Very cute and cozy. Great for family or a date night! Nice big bar. Highly recommend. The flavor on the food… superior!

Found the restaurant had a wonderful atmosphere with a evident focus on the overall comfort of their customers.

The food was well proportioned and contained a good flavor profile and was beautifully presented.

The staff was friendly and cordial and appeared to take great pride in the business.

Will definitely go again the next time I’m in the area.

I’ve read many other reviews on the local FB foodie groups for Altos and finally got a chance to stop by. So glad we did! The inside has been completely redone and looks amazing. They even put little sombrero hats on the Greene Turtles We had the tableside guacamole which was fantastic. Our server made it so quick! The salsa and chips were free and also so tasty. Our group had the mole, birria tacos, and fried fish. Everything came out hot and fresh. Birria tacos were stuffed full. Only criticism I have regarding the birria tacos is that the consomme could use a bit more salt and/or something to season it. The rice and beans were even good! Usually, they are just a cheaply made afterthought but not here! My husband ordered the mole and he enjoyed it. No one else at the table likes mole though. My friend who ordered the fried fish said it was cooked and flavored perfectly. We didn’t get any drinky drinks this time but I’m excited to visit again to try the margaritas! There are so many options

This was our first time dining here and it certainly won’t be our last! Great atmosphere and very friendly, attentive staff. I ordered the carnitas served with sautéed onions, which were delicious: juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. It came with three tortillas, rice, and refried beans. My husband got the Molcajete which was super impressive in both appearance and taste! It features chicken, steak, shrimp and chorizo in a hot volcanic stone bowl. We were impressed by everything we ordered and we can’t wait to go back!

This beautiful restaurant is right next to the Alamo movie theater. It was very busy, but we were quickly seated, and our drinks arrived without delay. Our waitress was very busy, but still provided excellent service. The refried beans were delicious, better than I’ve had elsewhere. Our main course was fresh and tasty. Perfect for a “date night,” after a movie. They had a huge bar!

We eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants and have to say this has to be up there with the best. Definitely freshly made and isn’t too Americanized. We loved the fresh salsa and chips, which if you can’t get that right then what are you doing in business? So when dinner came we were again pleasantly surprised. Not your usual sloppy stuff. The service could have been better but to be fair it was a very busy night for them.

Enroute to Myrtle Beach decided to pop in for dinner with my golf buddies and what a delicious meal. We all agreed it was one of the best authentic Mexican meals we’ve had. Service was excellent and the place was packed. Have recommend this place to other persons travelling south on I81.

Got there and the hostess seemed to be a bit irritated or something. but i get it im not even mad about that, we sit down and are asked by 2 different servers what we would like to drink. they have no idea whose tables are whose. we ordered queso, found plastic in it, ordered chips of course, found a dead wasp in the chips.

i received my dinner (steak tacos) there is a tiny piece of tin foil on top which the server? food runner? grabbed away before i could take a picture. one random tomato on my tacos, tiny random pieces of chicken as well? idk very odd

not a manager in sight. nobody came and said anything about what we were finding in our food. all they did was comp the queso which is nice i guess but i genuinely don’t think anybody cared about how food was coming out, temps, or the cleanliness of the kitchen? idk. kinda sad
