The good: the service and cleanliness. Staff was friendly, efficient and ever present.
The bad: chips were horrible. Not stale but something like you get out a a giant bag at the bulk store. I specifically wanted Mexican for some Nacho meal. I didn’t think quick enough before ordering after trying the complimentary chips and salsa. There were lots of other appitizing choices.
The toppings for street Nachos were fresh, good portion and well presented. I really like Nachos and was so disappointed.
Sadly, my date doesn’t care for spicy food so ordered the hamburger. It was wrapped in foil and was so soggy it had to be eaten with utinsels.

Was not impressed. I sat at the bar and had a few drinks. Did not get any chips and salsa. The people around me did. Maybe I had to ask, but never had to do that at any other Mexican restaurant. My portions were really lacking. It was tasty though, so there is that. They were attentive to my beverages.

Went to go pick up my Cary out, which was ready when I got there on time. They double checked the order before letting me leave and noticed the tortillas for the fundido was missing and quickly retrieved them. The extra attention to get it right before I walked out was greatly appreciated. Btw their fundido is the best around!

Wonderful restaurant! Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly staff. I loved how the vegetarian options were under their own heading so I did not have to go searching for them. I had the vegetarian quesadilla and it was so delicious. Looking forward to coming back and trying more selections.

Altos Cantina is hands down the best Mexican food in St. Louis. The flavors are incredible and the food is consistently delicious. I even forgot my debit card there, and the owner delivered it to my home over 45 minutes away. Whether you go to the Eureka or Maplewood location, you won’t be disappointed. Highly recommend!
