Crazy busy line out the door. They were fast and efficient at turning over tables without making it seem rushed. Everyone was happy with their food. Water glasses and coffee were never in short supply. Get the chicken and dumpling soup to start. You will be happy you did.

There is a reason their parking lot is full at all times of the day. The best service, the best food, and just overall great place! I love seeing the servers hug their regular customers. I love seeing the smiles on everyone’s face that works there. Do yourself a favor and swing in. Make sure to tip your servers well!

Delicious!!!! I had the Stuffed French Toast with strawberries and cream cheese filling – it was DELISH!! Everybody had food envy. I ordered sausage patty as a side but that was pretty basic. Someone else in my party ordered the Belgian Waffles with strawberries (whip cream left off) and another ordered the Chicken Finger Skillet. Service was great, seated right away and prices were acceptable. I’d definitely go again….and get the stuffed french toast!

I came up to Wisconsin to visit my grandparents, and they INSISTED that we go to the Altoona Family Restaurant. I’m so glad we did. Such friendly staff, delicious food (try the beer battered cod!), and everyone there just seemed to be enjoying yourself! Prices are great for what you get!

Amazing! Eat Here! Stopped by for dinner on the way to Chicago. I had the chicken strips skillet and it was outstanding. The Belgian waffles were amazing as was the stuffed french toast. We also had to get a side order of fries because they looked so good and THEY WERE!

Steak for breakfast seems to be harder and harder to find now days. But this is the place. If your looking for steak and eggs for breakfast. Service is always fast and welcoming. Food comes out soon after order is taken. One of my husband’s favorite restaurants.
