found this amazing little gem on google and was not disappointed! they have breakfast and lunch/dinner. i looked at the menu before going and there were so many things i wanted, when i got there i saw the buffet had most of what i wanted to try so i went with that option. the fried chicken was so juicy and crispy. the meatloaf was very tasty. there was also some pork on there that was very good as well. all of the sides were so good! the salad bar was so fresh and had so many options for toppings. there were some desserts as well and the cake was to die for!
this is such a great stop when traveling. it’s off of I-95 and quick for a sit down restaurant. the staff was very kind and attentive. it will become my new food stop when traveling anywhere north of my hometown.

Fantastic little mom and pop restaurant! THE best crabcake I have ever had! Their The George Ga is perfect for 2-3 people! We had the grilled selection, the scallops and shrimp were cooked excellent, and the hush puppies were delicious. The crew is friendly and quick. The music is just right, you can talk easily and still listen to great songs.

Chicken was so fresh, juicy and tender that you can’t stop eating. The Mack and cheese was great and the open salad bar was perfect.
Staff and owner were super nice and greeted everyone with a smile and happiness.

We came in between the lunch rush and dinner, around 3:30, and while the service was a little forgetful at the time (had to ask twice for a couple of things), everything was delicious! And great prices too. I had the fried flounder sandwich, fish was so fresh and tender, and my mom had the fried shrimp app. They said the shrimp are local Georgia shrimp and they tasted like it, super big and juicy, and fried perfectly! Better value is definitely the shrimp basket but she didn’t want the fries. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, was a great experience, definitely will be back!

Truly special! Locals fill the place all saying hi to each other like its Thanksgiving everyday! I drove 3 hours on my way home to have what i remember as glorious pork chops and man they were soooo good again. Hot, crispy, perfect! Hush puppies hot and tasty. My daughter had the amazing buffet filled with everything southern and finger licking (except pork chops) now the show stealer belonged to the cornbread. Did someone add brown suger and cinnamon to it? I thought i died and went to heaven on that first bite. Enough please dont go cause it will just make the line longer…. everyone STOP GOING TO BUCKIES and eat here. AMEN!

Everything they make is overcooked and dry. And the mashed potatoes are bland and soupy to me. Mostly expensive and doesn’t match the price of what they make. The service doesn’t feel good, everyone just seems to be roaming around constantly confused. The atmosphere is boring and it’s very quiet, they don’t bother to help the atmosphere or improve any Service. The employees are not very active and it’s sad that the bar is better than their own food. The only thing their good at is there drinks

I cannot give enough stars for this place! When you walk in, it gives the feeling of home. Every single waitress that’s here is incredible! I’ve never been to a restaurant where the owner is serving and bussing tables themselves. The food has got to be some of the best I’ve ever put in my mouth. We came yesterday for breakfast and today for lunch for the first time. Both times, everything I tried I absolutely loved. Their FRIED CHICKEN IS THE BEST IVE EVER TASTED! If you’re wondering where to go today or on your next trip to Townsend, you have got to stop here! Not only are they kind to everyone that walks through the door, they send it out too. They give to this community and help those in need, so you know your money is going to help them bless other people. Come enjoy something delicious and be surrounded with love and family. ❤️

Food was good at it’s price point. The chopped steak with gravy was good. The mashed potatoes were good, maybe a little too much gravy, but good nonetheless. My wife had grilled chicken which was very good. Her sweet potato fries were just ok. They came out late and I suspect they rushed the frying because they were very soft. Service was very good and the waitress came to the table and appropriate amount of times to ask us if we needed anything. Why only 3 stars for atmosphere? The place is very dated and the bathroom could have been a bit cleaner. It wasn’t terrible but there were nats flying around the urinal. Taking this all into account along with the reasonable prices I would give them a solid 4 out of 5. With a little TLC it could have been an easy 4.5. Still worth the stop.

Wow! We came for lunch. It’s a simple country fare buffet, but literally everything was way, way, above average in taste. If you are heading north or south on I-95, I’ll just say this is well worth the ten minute detour. Carla, Jill, & Ricky made us feel right at home. We will definitely be coming back any time we pass this way.

We discovered a hidden gem thanks to a friend’s recommendation, and we couldn’t wait to check it out! The decor was unique, and the food was impressive. I ordered the shrimp and okra alongside hushpuppies. Andrew tried the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and okra. Everything was delicious, but the hushpuppies paired with the shrimp were definitely my favorite!
