The bbq is alright. I didn’t see any vinegar bbq sauce out which would have been nice but overall taste and texture was solid. Okra and beans were delicious. Service was friendly and nice. Seemed like they had a good group of regulars around dinner the night I came who were having a good time. Also has a good selection of general merchandise, snacks, groceries, and supplies

So I like to support local businesses when I travel outside of Wayne county. I stopped in this morning to get a BEC biscuit. Obviously the cook has No multi tasking skills as it took over 10 minutes to get food. When I finally received food it was hot as fire, so I’m almost to Fayetteville before I can try to eat it. The bacon was only 1/2 cooked and chewy like gum. It’s really sad someone fails to properly cook an item as simple as Bacon. Doubt I will ever return.

Normally, I stop by here quite often but will no longer. Some of the workers there are very rude, and I hate to say that because maybe they can’t comprehend basic communication skills. Be kind and mindful. The owners are nice people and I hope with their new establishment they hire good workers.

This was a little hidden gem. My son-in-law was born and raised in the area and I have never been. When I first got there we pulled into what I thought was only a gas station, and I got out of the car, to the smells and Aroma of amazing food. I tried a little bit of everything that day . Don’t get me wrong it’s not a Michelin star restaurant, it is quick and easy to enjoy country fixings. I had a great burger and onion rings to start things off. Then the very next morning I had to try breakfast. There’s really nothing bad I can say about the location. I will be back again and again.

Stopped by the grocery barn on this past Wednesday and ordered 3 biscuits. While waiting I put gas in my truck, came back and washed my hands and then checked my order status. I was told there some orders ahead of me but they would get me soon. After 10 minutes I asked about my order and was told there was a 5 minute wait on biscuits did I want it on bread, I said yes. 5 minutes pass and I have no sandwiches and no biscuits. My order came out and it didn’t have biscuits. Long story short, I waited longer than a customer should and when they brought my order it wasn’t correct. I didn’t like the the way the young boy handled they situation, needless to say I want be eating there again, they are OK but the customer service is a turn off.

I’ve been going to grocery barn since I was a little kid. It’s a staple of the community, and a great place to stop if you’re just passing through. My cousins from Jersey always stop by when they come down to visit and they love it. Everything on the menu is amazing.
