We had a few toasts, the avocado toast and an incredible salmon toast. Both were as beautiful as they were delicious. We also got a lot of pastries. The ginger scone was especially good. We also had the pistachio rose croissant, the cinnamon swirl with whipped cream, a ham and cheese croissant, maple bacon crossing and the blackberry donut which is hands down the best donut I’ve eaten in my life. My husband says this is the best bakery he’s ever been to, including ones in Paris. Absolutely delicious. Also the staff was great. It had been raining and someone helped us out by drying off an outdoor table for us.

I passed this place many times because it doesn’t really stick out to say hey. “Look at me taste our food.”
I bought the Blueberry Muffin and Berry Strudel or as I call it, a large croissant with lots of encrusted sugar on top with berries in the middle. The strangest Strudel I’ve ever had and I’ve been to Germany. Both items were clearly overpriced and underwhelming for what they were in the end.
The Blueberry Muffin was marginal and that’s being nice. I was not impressed, as I’ve had better muffins, this Muffin had no flavor at all and was very dry. The Blueberries were the moist part and the star of this show.
The Strudel became a floppy mess after joining Earth’s gravity and thank goodness I wasn’t wearing a White shirt in the eating process. Nothing special overall with this concoction.
The store is inviting and the food looks well presented but This bakery is quite overpriced for the food. The staff is not the most inviting and that’s a big deal when entering a place.
Parking sucks, this place is in one of the busiest areas in Monterey and I found parking by chance over 2 blocks away. That’s probably why I’ve haven’t been there before.
I found their food and drinks more for Adults and taking kids would probably be too pricey as Donuts were about 6 bucks a piece.
I didn’t crave their food after eating it and I won’t be back.

A chic cafe where my partner and I enjoyed a light brunch. There was a large selection of cookies, croissants, doughnuts, and even items such as lavender and earl gray mousses. I ordered a hot chai and a maple bacon swirl, and my partner ordered an iced latte and a ham-and-cheese croissant. The staff were very friendly and got our food and drinks out quickly. We chose to sit in the outdoor patio because the weather was nice. Overall, it was a good experience.

Cute spot with delicious food! The line goes relatively quickly. My mom and I shared the white bean and bacon soup and the Reuben croissant sandwich which were amazing! The obligatory gingerbread latte was delicious and not too sweet. The chocolate chip cookie was delicious and soft with crispy edges. I wasn’t so crazy about the carrot cake cookie since it’s lacking some spices in my opinion.

I was very excited to find Alta as it appeared similar to one of my all time favorites, Rustic Bakery in Marin.
I’m always on the lookout for my next favorite quiche or frittata and was hoping theirs was going to be amazing judging by the beautiful prepartions of their pastries, other customer reviews, and the line out the door. Sadly, I was not a fan of the frittata as it was cool in temp and resembled more of an egg mousse… the first couple bites literally melted away on my tongue… not in a good way.
However…. really not enjoying it, I walked inside and notified the first cook I saw working behind the counter to see if this is how it should be. To my surprise this kind gentlemen was very engaged, asked my a couple questions about the food, and how he could fix it, he then offered to personally cook me a dish. He ended up finding me a delicious slice of quiche, and it was presented beautifully. Wow, talk about hospitality! Also to my surprise, I later Iearned that this kind gentleman was Ben, the chef owner. The experience could’ve been a let down, but it ended up being a uniquely lovely quick brunch. Needless to say, I will certainly be back with friends and family! Thank you Ben and team, you’re all exemplary at what you do, and I really hope to see you continue to shine

It is an insanely cute cafe! All of the pastries look like works of art. They have a nice outdoor seating area. Their matcha was really good. It was just that they needed another cash register to get the line moving faster.

I absolutely loved this place! All of their toasts, muffins, and desserts were excellent: fresh, flavorful, and beautifully made. The house chai was outstanding, and the coffee of the month was delicious as well. The atmosphere is charming and relaxed, perfect for enjoying a slow morning. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!

LOVED !! Such a cute little bakery/coffee shop. Love the pink windows and doors. The line was out of the door when we got there which just shows how good it was ! The staff were all so friendly and helpful. And the food was amazing ! I got the mozzarella/tomato pastry (I don’t remember the name but view photo) so tasty!! I also got a ham and cheese with arugula sandwich, you had the option to get a seeded bun or non seeded. I got seeded and really enjoyed it !! To top it off, I got the honey and chamomile latte and it was the perfect balance of sweet and espresso tasting. They had a few tables inside for seating and then beautiful seeing outside. It was such a fun space.

This cute little bakery was recommended to us and it did not disappoint! We were there right after 11 so they were starting to bring out lunch items too and WOW! The selection, the quality and presentation was splendid and made we wish we were getting both breakfast amd lunch. We tried the maple bacon roll, cinnamon pull part, chocolate croissant and blue corn cookies. My personal faves were the maple bacon with the sage on it and blue corn cookie. So interesting and different, and delicious. We also got a variety of hor beverages and my cousin highly recommended the orange cardamom syrup in her latte. We ate outside on the patio and the space was lovely. Will visit again!
