This time in Honolulu, we went to eat the American-style bone-in steak I’d been craving.
Since it’s in the heart of Waikiki, we passed by the restaurant several times while wandering around. At first view, it seemed like there were only stairs in front of the place. But on my second pass, I noticed a wheelchair lift. It looked big enough for two people, including an attendant. So I use rollator usual, its great help for me. Knowing this lift was available put my mind at ease, so dinner on the second day was decided here as planned.

We arrived around 7:30 pm without a reservation and were told we couldn’t be seated until after 8:15 pm, so we waited. It seemed they’d use the lift. As the time approached, two lovely women, busy with service, came outside to check on us waiting. They mentioned the lift operator/security guard wasn’t available yet, joking that if it came to worst, they’d lift us themselves. They explored options like using the parking lot ramp or entering through the building’s back entrance. Ultimately, the security guard returned, and we were safely lifted into the waiting area in front of the restaurant by our reservation time.

The steak itself was incredibly satisfying in both quantity and quality. We ordered the Bone-in Paniolo Ribeye 24 ounces (approx. 680g) for $115, cooked medium-rare, and shared Mashed Potatoes for $12. Plus, a beer each. While sipping our beers and waiting, the perfectly cooked steak arrived. A young guy who resembled an Aussie friend of mine skillfully carved it up for us. The doneness was perfect, and after thoroughly enjoying the meat, we even sucked on the bones (lol).

The female server who took our order, the young guy who carved and served the bone-in meat, the very charming ladies who seriously thought about how to get us smoothly into the restaurant, and above all, the security guard who operated the lift – not to mention the staff who cooked the thick, juicy bone-in chicken and mashed potatoes, the restaurant’s atmosphere, and the friendly customers – all made for a very satisfying dinner. Thank you all for the wonderful time and meal. I’d love to visit again if I get the chance.

A steak restaurant located along Seaside Ave. Casual in atmosphere, yet offering premium-quality beef—truly a fantastic spot. This time, we ordered the 1,100g Tomahawk steak.
Despite its massive size—something rarely seen in Japan—the steak delivered the bold aroma and rich flavor characteristic of American beef, while also offering a surprising delicacy and ease of eating reminiscent of Wagyu. Although the fat was certainly present, it felt clean and well-balanced, making the steak unexpectedly easy to enjoy from start to finish.
Many reservations are made in advance through JTB Hawaii options or Veltra, so there may be cases where specific Tomahawk sizes or preferred seating are unavailable. For individuals or groups dining independently, it is recommended to make a reservation in advance—ideally requesting a single table—to ensure availability.

Dinner was 10 out of 10-Sooooo good! We got the Caesar salad, stuffed portobello, SRF tomahawk, shrimp, mashed potatoes, and bacon and Brussels- we also got the chimmichurri and truffle butter- all of it was delicious! Our waiter Nick was excellent and def made the meal even more perfect with his suggestions on steak size, cook etc. This place kicks Ruth’s Chris out of the water – we came home with enough food for an entire extra meal- totally recommend!

Oh my, the food was fantastic. Crab cakes probably some of the best we have ever had. My partner ordered wagyu picanha, definitely should of ordered 1 temp lower because the hot plate cooks it. Other than that, his baked and my mashed potato needed the gooey cheese. My riveted was sooo delicious. The truffle butter complimented it even more. Our waiter was great and so was the bartender. We Will be back. Thank you so much Aloha Steakhouse.

Our server was so nice and excellently on top of anything we could possibly need. The food was ok though. We had steak and fish that were meh, good but nothing special. We added a truffle butter which thankfully elevated them. The bacon Mac was amazing. Our pina coladas were fantastic.

My fiancé and I came to dinner to celebrate our recent engagement. The experience was outstanding as our waiter Kula went above and beyond to make our visit memorable such as a complementary desert to celebrate our special occasion. We were also so blessed to find that a couple from Vancouver Canada overheard our situation and offered to pay for our food.

Overall Aloha Steak House is a fantastic place to visit and could not recommend any more.

This was not the restaurant experience we expected for the cost and menu. We went to celebrate our anniversary and expected an upscale steakhouse dining experience, but were disappointed. My husband compared it to a tourist version of a Sizzler that seemed to be aimed mostly giving asian tourists a “steakhouse” experience while on vacation. The food was okay but didnt taste like it was seasoned at all. For example the mashed potatoes were literally just mashed potato, they didnt seem to be made with any butter or milk or seasoning. The steaks were good cuts of meat but were bland. The ambiance and atmosphere were contrived. Alexis, our server was pretty good. She didnt take any opportunity to upset any add-ons. Had she asked i would have added on blue cheese. We also had the wedge salad and mac-n-cheese. They were okay but not stellar.

Third time here. The food is always excellent, especially the tomahawk and rib corn. We had a large party of 13 and wished we could have been seated at one table or closer together so we could hear everyone and better enjoy each other’s company. The servers were awesome. Mahalo Kula & Isaac!!!

A decent steakhouse. Japanese owned, nice atmosphere, great location, seems to always be crowded. Megan at the front door was pleasant, courteous and helpful. She cleaned our place at the bar before we sat down. Some service can improve, others are on it. Something may be missing as the lack of smiles and teamwork on the staff is apparent. Steaks were good, potatoes a little small for a true steakhouse, and vegetables/ cobbed corn interesting choice. Overall, it’s worth a try to taste and experience for yourself. ✌️
