I waffled on whether to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it looks like I’m not the only one having problems with their rice. It felt like rice that had been getting dry in the fridge too long, and that was probably undercooked in the first place – enough that even when I got it home, carefully fished out the rice, and tried to revitalize it with steam in the microwave, it couldn’t help. It’s an easy mistake to make, but it’s such a killer that we really didn’t enjoy our otherwise-fine poke. 🙁

(And we were there a little after six, not at some weird off hour.)

We ordered three poke bowls for pickup and it was just gross. Everything tasted frozen and lifeless, not fresh in the slightest. The rice was poorly prepared and made the bowls even worse. Overall, a really bad experience and 100% not worth the money. There are much better options in the greater Milwaukee area.

The place is amazing. The food is super fresh and delicious.

Tonight was the first time trying this place and won’t be my last.
The staff was super friendly and the man taking my order walked me through building my first poke bowl and described all the sauces and good flavor combinations. Each bowl is fully customizable with super fresh ingredients from the type of rice, to protein- seasoned or naked, several veggies choices and additional topping to choose from with a variety of sauces or choose from one of their restaurants favorites.
The staff that assisted me (I think was the owner) did suggest I add the crunch and so glad I did.. it really did make the bowl.
Thanks for a wonderful dinner experience and being so welcoming. Welcome to the neighborhood and I’ll definitely be back soon

Was really excited to try this place but the guy working made me feel like I was inconveniencing him by ordering food. Not only that it tasted old. At least the cookie place next door made up for it.

Their take out is available quickly. It can be a little pricey but the servings are large. The food is good but I wish there were more gluten free sauces. Pretty much the only gf option is to build your own.

I really enjoy this place as an occasional treat. Often times the smallest size is plenty of food for lunch. I need to caution lovers of Spicy Tuna rolls that the Volcano bowl is not for the faint of heart.

While absolutely delicious, my first visit here I really struggled with the heat level of the volcano sauce that covered my whole bowl. I’m sensitive to spicy so I thought I was just being a wuss but my nose was running and my lips were on fire.

My husband got it next time also assuming it was just me. It was not! He was also struggling through it but honestly it tastes so good that it was worth the pain. My recommendation is to always get the volcano sauce on the side so that you can control how much pain you are willing to endure.
