This is a GREAT joint overall and has great food even though it’s almost hidden, the orders are announced by a robot and is pretty cool. The patty melts and grilled cheeses are hearty and have the biggest cheese pull I’ve ever done. The sauce is also one of my top ten fav spicy sauces and I highly recommend getting one if not 2.

My wife and I went to Honolulu for our 25th wedding anniversary and had an amazing time. We had looked up places to try before going and aloha melt was our very first stop right after we dropped off our luggage at the hotel. It lived up to every expectation that we had and was so so good after the long plane ride there. I would eat there again in a heartbeat which we will definitely do as we are planning to go back for our 30th. Highly highly recommend. A must-stop location!!!

Best tomaote soup & grilled cheese ever! My favorite was a place called eat in lose Vegas that use to be around years ago however this is to par with that. And the jalapeños you can add wow level up in my eyes and the sauce….. Can’t wait to eat this again….. Parking in that area is a bit of a nightmare. However if there is 2 of you order online and drop a person off drive around the block and you will be allset…. Well worth it…. We are here for 10 days and we will be going back for more…. I got the 4 cheese grilled cheese with jalapeños. And the hubby got one with ground beef…. Highly recommend

ALOHA MELT is a total hidden gem in Waikiki! It’s a classic hole-in-the-wall spot that is surprisingly affordable for Honolulu. There’s no table service, but the food more than makes up for it. I ordered their famous Aloha Patty Melt, and it was incredible—perfectly cheesy and savory. Just a heads-up: it’s definitely an indulgence, but worth every calorie!

Good sandwich, it took a bit long to make. The sandwich is seem to have less meat than the advertised and because it is so thin, I was a bit confuse that if they give me the correct order. And the most important thing, they don’t have restroom. You need to go to the mall across the street if you need to go to restroom. Sandwich test good and right potion for my stomach. The place is super chill and casual.

We were excited to try this place since I love grilled cheese. I personally probably should have stuck with just the four cheese but I wanted to try something different. My husband got the Patty melt and the hamburger wasn’t how he expected. Instead of a patty it was just more loose and ground up beef. Seems like a really popular place so people must like it just not what we were expecting.

We tried The Aloha Melt and the Bacon Patty Melt. The standout was definitely the aioli sauces—super flavorful and well-paired with each melt. The Spicy Aloha Melt was a bit underwhelming in flavor, especially for spice lovers, while the Bacon Patty Melt had great savory flavor thanks to the patty.
The crispy cheese edge was a nice touch, and the portion size was solid for the price—filling and satisfying. Food took about 15 minutes since it’s made to order. It’s in a great location near shops, but not ideal for groups due to limited seating. Lots of paid parking around but limited free parking
Service was just okay—not rude, but not very friendly either. Overall, I wouldn’t go out of my way to return unless I was with someone who really loves grilled cheese.
