I’ve previously eaten at an Aloha Kitchen in Las Vegas so I’m actually sad writing this review because this restaurant has such potential.

We ate here for the flavors not to have a “big back” experience. So save this spot for a light lunch.

The sauce flavors are amazing, crinkle fries were nice, the Spam musubi tasty, but the ball was dropped on everything else.

Meat: thin beyond exaggeration. Even covered in Panko the chicken cutlet was less than 1/2 a centimeter in thickness. The chicken inside was as thin as a deli slice of meat.

The “smash” burger was also paper thin…the patty crumbled apart when building the burger.

The Tsunami Chicken Katsu was 75% rice. I thought under the chicken would be a bed of cabbage. No, it’s a bed of white rice with a sprinkle of cabbage even though the meal already comes with a side of white rice.

The macaroni salad is warm elbow noodles, Hellmann’s mayonnaise, and paprika. No salt, pepper, or flavor.

The chicken was flavorful and crunchy, though I wish the portion was bigger. The chow fun noodles also had great flavor and were very enjoyable. I’m looking forward to trying more dishes from the menu.

4.5/5 – one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in Florence. Food is fresh and well portioned. We had the hurricane Katsu platter as well as the volcano katsu platter. Both platters were tasty. Platters are served with rice and maccaroni salad by default. We swapped for a green salad and fries in 1 dish and fries in the other. The fries can be served hurricane-style with furikake and sauce. They are great but the only downside is they use clearly pre-cut frozen fries. Still tasty.

Heckin incredible. Love in every bite. The outside of the building looks very unassuming, but food is really well done – crispy, great sauces, and loaded with flavor. Definitely worth pulling off the highway for! Inside of the restaurant leaves something to be desired and seems more set up for to-go service based on the packaging of the food and seating options: Some improvements here with decorations and eat in plates/silverware would really make the vibes 10/10. People there are super nice and seem very passionate about the food they make!

Fantastic food cooked to order. We had the chicken tonkatsu and chow combo. Both were hot, fresh, and delicious! We waited about 10 or 15 minutes for our food to come out. The restaurant was steady the whole time we were there but not super busy. Dining room was clean and neat, although the trash cans outside were overflowing. Staff was pleasant. This was our second time eating there and we’ll definitely be back.

My partner found Aloha from Facebook and knew I would appreciate it because I love different cultures. I had my heart set on Spam Musubi and found out they serve it Friday and Saturday until sold out. So glad I asked ahead of time so I wouldn’t be sad, will definitely be making a special early trip. They don’t have a crowded menu which is nice because that means they are able to focus on the flavor of the items they do have. I got the Hurricane Katsu, which to my surprise was delightfully sweet, spicy and crunchy. I am generally not a fan of Macaroni Salad, but Alohas Macaroni Salad was very fulfilling, loved it. We are looking forward to trying the Pineapple Cole Slaw and Sliders next time. We also ordered a side of Hurricane Fries and the spice was spicing. I have a hard time with spicy foods but the fries smothered in the Hurricane Sauce was A+. My partner got the Hawaiian Plate and said the pulled pork was the best he’s had in a long time. The pork was moist and delicious. The serving sizes were perfect and we cannot wait to come back!! Aloha!!

The menu may be small, but the flavors are big. The food was fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and my food came out quickly, which I really appreciated.

The restaurant was clean, including the restrooms (which are in a separate building behind the restaurant). Indoor seating is a bit limited, and it felt a little crowded on a rainy day, but that’s just a sign of how popular this place is!

If you’re looking for tasty Hawaiian food in a casual, friendly atmosphere, Aloha Kitchen is worth a visit.
