This place has good country food! The hamburger steak was smothered in gravy. The waitress was very attentive. You get 1 meat, 3 sides, and a roll for $14. Desserts come in at another $4. By the time you pay for food and tip, you have spent over $20 for a meal! All that said the food is good!

The food had a pretty good taste. But the fried chicken was barely warm and slightly undercooked making it tough. None of the food was very warm. It was set up like a buffet. 1 meat, 3 sides and a bread. Serve yourself. I probably wouldn’t go back. I wasn’t too impressed.

Really awesome food at a fair price! You get to choose your favorite of what’s cooked and a variety of vegetables to pick from . You get to serve yourself so you choose the portions amount . Had good ol sweet tea by choice and the glass was huge. It is very down home and a cozy but yet roomy eatery. Definitely a place I will eat at again!!!

Almost Home is a buffet style lunch place. I’ve gone multiple times over the years and it’s always been the exact same foods. Nothing special, nothing unique. The owners aren’t the friendliest.

Beautiful view from the back dining room. The chopped steak tasted old, my chicken quarter was okay, a bit salty. The mashed potatoes seem like they are instant, same with the gravy. Mac and cheese pretty decent. My greens were not seasoned at all. The rolls were homemade and delicious. Friendly service.

Okay food and the view of the river is so cool!! I just didn’t like the attitude the waitress had toward my family. She was nice to everyone else so it wasn’t that she had a bad day. I usually try to understand because I’ve worked in the food industry but there wasn’t anything that could’ve explained her horrible attitude towards us. Felt very racially motivated since we were the only POC there.

I used to love eating at Almost Home! I love their food, but will not be back anymore. My 4 year old grandson has acid reflux, he was feeling nauseous so I took him to the bathroom. He threw up before we could get in there. I felt terrible about it but I had to go in the bathroom with him because he still felt sick. So I covered it with paper towels and told one of the ladies that I didn’t want anyone to step in it. And she said, “sure I’ll freaking clean it up”. Now I know they were busy and of course it sucks to have to clean up throw up, but I mean it’s a customer service business. They have always had a little bit of an attitude but I always overlooked it. But not this time. Rude, rude, rude!
