Situated next to my new favorite place in Independence is this little coffee shop.Based on the Ice cream shop next doors recommendation I stopped by for breakfast on Saturday morning. I was not disappointed. Amazing cup of coffee and a good bagle to boot. The young man who was behind the counter was taking his time to get it right and seemed a little unsteady but made the best coffee I’ve had while in the area.

Almost Famous Café excels in providing high-quality coffee that’s hard to find in this area, paired with an impressive understanding of the craft. Adding New York bagels to the menu was a brilliant decision. Furthermore, being located next to the largest ice cream parlor in the area, places him strategically in the most vibrant part of Independence, Virginia. We sincerely hope he continues to flourish and brings a wonderful taste of authenticity to this small town.

I stopped by one day after working in my classroom for the upcoming 25-26 school year. I had seen a picture of their smoothies on Facebook. It was right before closing but I stopped by anyway. That was one of the best smoothies I have ever had. It was just what I needed after my long day at school. Cold and refreshing and served with a smile.
