We have eaten at Alma’s several times when we are in the area. I do like some of their food.
Service is a gamble on any given day. Hours open say until 2pm, obviously they employees are not aware of this, twice we have arrived at 1:10 and 1:20 and they hurry to inform us that they are closed. Several restaurants in Artesia are famous for conducting business this way. Don’t have many choices to begin with ♀️

Place was super tight and super busy. We came at probably the very worst time. Several of my colleagues said it was great food and it was worth the wait!! Service was friendly and they repeatedly assured us something would come open soon while they busily walked by. Went several other times and generally the service had declined – once it was so bad I walked out. Just went this morning and Ashley was our server and I was actually the first person in the place at 7:09 when it was supposed to open at 7:00. They opened the door for me. The experience was amazing, it’s all about timing on going there and getting a good server. Ashley was wonderful at least one of the other ladies was nowhere near as good. I’ll probably be back again but it definitely won’t be at a time when they’re busy. If I rated for today it would be generally five star across the board but it is very inconsistent there. I got to the buffet twice before someone else came in about 7:19. Somewhat of a slow start this morning. Buffet is definitely the way to go…..

Went here this morning, and got slow service, with our drinks being empty more than they were filled, and lackluster food. I had huevos rancheros, and they were probably the worst I’ve ever had. Wasn’t very tasty, and not a lot to it. Took quite a while to get it too. Been 9 years since I’ve been here, it’ll probably be another 9 years until I go back. Probably won’t if I can help it.

The food was really good here! I got the combination plate with a cheese enchilada, carne asada gordita, and chicken chalupas. The flavors of everything was awesome.
The chips were freshly made and the salsa had a little bite but was so good especially with the meal I got. Check out this place if you are in the area!

Very very good food, need to up the table service tho, it was very quiet when we ate there but the waitress would disappear and when it was time to leave we had to ask for our ticket. The food tho was really good. I would go here and eat again for sure.

We went around 8, there wasnt very many people in there so i was expecting a nice breakfast. I was extremely disappointed. The waitress was rude and short with us. The beans had literally a pinch of cheese. My daughter ordered a beef and bean burrito. The burrito was stuffed with almost a qr lb of beef and no beans. When she opened up to see where the beans were the beef looked like it was old. I ordered a Chile relleno and bean burrito, the Chile relleno had no cheese at all. When I told the waitress she said nothing and walked off. I asked for a couple of small bowls of cheese and flipped her hand as if swatting me away saying to wait a minute. It was absolutely the WORST service ever. Spent around $60.00 and I still gave a tip. Will never come here again.

I was told by an employee of the restaurant when I asked, that with two family meal I can feed 12 people. She said that I’ll get a 32 once cup of rice and another 32 once of frijoles. I ask for 10 chicken burritos and 10 carne asada burrito. What I got was 20 small tacos and two 8 once cups of rice and frijoles for $72.82. I could’ve go to Taco bell and gotten a better deal.

Great food, great environment, and great service. The food was excellent, and I would definitely come here again. If you’re driving through Artesia, New Mexico, this is definitely a place you’ll want to stop and eat!
