We came here celebrating our 2 year anniversary and we were not disappointed! We have been wanting to check them out for awhile and we were excited for the shrek theme! They go all out! Our waiter even tried a Scottish accent, he made the time there worth while!

I ordered the mud bath cocktail and if you like mint chocolate this is the drink for you! Very minty and I loved how cold it was too! Also very strong, they do not skimp on the alcohol. We also ordered the dragons breath shot, when we asked our waiter what shot to get he said “tasty or theatrical” we of course chose theatrical! It was so fun, making a great experience!

For food we shared the fried pickles and steak and potatoes off the regular menu. We LOVED the fried pickles so much! They are not your usual shape and it made them extra crispy! The steak and potatoes were cooked perfectly as well, we devoured our food quickly! Which we needed with those strong drinks!

Thankfully we were visiting the cinema next door after because we needed walk those drinks off. We had an absolute blast and can’t wait to visit during the next theme! Highly recommended this place.

Came here to go to the Harry Potter themed experience and it was awesome! I got the Beguiling Bubbles drink and my husband got the Wizard’s Butterbeer. They were both very very good and I would 1000% get them again. They also have a shots game to play called Slytherins and Ladders. I didn’t partake in this game but my husband and friends did. They really enjoyed it and got to try some really interesting shots. We also got some food, my husband and I split the Hagrid’s Baby Norbert Sliders and I got the Kreachers Onion Soup. I found the sliders delicious but they were constructed of nickel size tater tots for burger buns. So, even though they were bite size, for the price I was expecting a little bit more. Then I got onion soup and it was literally one small ladle size pour in a really deep bowl. It smelled delicious but when I took the first spoonful it was absolutely pure salt. I literally had to use some of my table water just to dilute it enough to finish it. Needless to say I think I’ve decided to stick with ordering the food from The Wobbly Olive since you have that option even if visiting Allusions and The Wobbly Olive has AMAZING food!!! Overall, great atmosphere, awesome drinks, but the food at Allusions, I’d pass on.

Allusions is a theme bar with two locations in the Springs, one downtown and the other at the First and Main Town Center off of Powers. The theme typically changes quarterly and the two locations don’t run the same theme at the same time. Themes in the past have included Beetlejuice, Barbie, Nightmare before Christmas, Lord of the Rings, etc. On our most recent visit the theme was Shrek. Our server was a lot of fun and appeared to be dressed as Mother Goose (see photos). Our drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was entertaining. Our drinks for this visit included I’ve Got Layers, Bachelorette #3, and the Mud Bath. We also each had a shot of Cakes Have Layers Too. I don’t think enough credit is given for the incredible amount of hard work and creativity it takes to completely change the bar every three months or so. New drink menu, new glassware, redecorate the bar interior, sometimes even new tables and chairs! Considering all of this we think the drinks and food are very reasonably priced, and since they are a local business we are proud to support them. Highly recommend!

Overall the food was good. Main issue is that the portions were really small. The drinks were also good, only issue was we ordered a drink that was missing ingredients and wasn’t told anything until after the fact. Overall bartender was great food and drink left some to be desired.

Very cute little speakeasy inside of the Wobbly Olive! The theme was Nightmare Before Christmas and the decor was on point. The drinks were good, very strong tho and unique ingredients. We played the dice game and that was fun! It’s hard to tell which drink has a cute glass or a light, but of all them had a cute little design. Shot glasses were adorable. I definitely look forward to the next theme. Nice experience overall !

Awesome speakeasy-style bar located in The Wobbly Olive. My wife, sister-in-law, and I went recently when it was Alice in Wonderland themed and it was an amazing experience. The drinks are fantastic and come in really cool themed glasses and our server was really friendly! You can also get food from The Wobbly Olive if you want to go for a full meal, just be sure to make reservations in advance! (I recommend a few weeks out if you’re trying for a weekend night.) If you’re looking for a unique bar experience, definitely check out Allusion!

Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, BEETLEJUICE!!!

What a fun experience! Walking into this cozy speakeasy, at the back of The Wobbly Olive, felt like we had been transported right into the movie. I love a well executed theme and Allusion nailed it down to every last detail.

The drinks were delicious and I loved the unique glasses and stenciling that accompanied each one! Bartenders were attentive and friendly. They also offer themed bites and you have the option of ordering food from the Wobbly Olive as well, from apps to full entrees!

They change theme every few months (their downtown location has its own changing themes different from this one) and you can purchase the decor and glasses when they’re ready to switch to the new motif!

Highly recommend regular visits – as Beetlejuice himself would say, turn on the juice and see what shakes loose!

We went last night. Food was decent and the set up was great. Our server was a great guy and we where having a blast. Until the red haired girl behind the bar came to our table and accused us of stealing some stupid little toy thing. I thought she was joking at first until she said and I quote “if I dont find it before you leave, I’m charging you $150!” So its my daultt they lost that toy? And she was very nasty about it. I have never stole a thing and to be blatantly accused was absolutely not ok. So I paid $120 to be accused of stealing. That person has absolutely no place in customer service!

We had a great time! The drinks were delicious and fit the LOTR theme perfectly. The decoration and lighting were perfect. We got a kick out of the entryway, it really set the tone. Speak friend and enter – if you know you know. The food from the attached restaurant was delicious and shareable which added to the experience.

This is such a neat Speakeasy. The theme changes so you might be Hogwarts with Harry Potter or be in a castle with Disney princesses. They had fun themed drinks and decor. There’s another location downtown Springs that has more selection of drinks but what we had was great. **Plus, they have a game to play called “Shots and Ladders.” Just like the game, depending on what you roll will depend on what you land which will determine what specialty drink shot you will have.**
