Staff was friendly and prices are fair however the rice and beans didn’t have beans. The fish dinner was very oily and lacked taste. Yams were burnt and over cooked.

After hearing rave reviews, I wondered why the Albanians that I met when moving here, didn’t tell me about this place. Well maybe they didn’t because the food is a bust. The owner is very friendly and welcoming and the establishment looked clean. However the food just wasn’t tasty. I heard it had been when Allie first opened but over the years the quality & taste went down. I agree. My partner said my food tasted better. I should have cooked my own soul food. Just saying! I will however try again, considering that ppl have off days, weeks, and even years.

What an incredible creator of cuisine Allie B’s is a Caputal District gem in many ways. It may be small in space but it is big in flavor, quality and purpose. The food is simply amazing, and the owner/staff, some of the best humans I have ever met.

One of our favorite places for periodic venturing into soul food! Kizzy is wonderful, as are the rest of the staff. This is turning into one of the more historic places to eat in Albany, and the service to the community is remarkable. But the food!!! Delicious!

Been wanting to try for months and I’m glad I did. The service was good even though it’s call in only. Someone brings out the food to you. Grubhub apparently has their open time listed incorrectly so I waited a bit longer than expected but that’s okay. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the potato salad (not pictured). I prefer mine with larger chunks of potato. Everything else tasted great.

The food here is amazing especially the macaroni and cheese and corn bread my number one favorite which is very hard to choose is the fish my second choice would be the rib and third choice would be the turkey wings I love all their side dishes especially the macaroni salad which is only served on the weekends overall Allie B’s cozy kitchen is amazing…

This is literally the best soul food I ever had. The Mac and cheese and ribs are everything ! I wish this place was open 24/7 lol. Also, very friendly customer service . I’ll be back again tomorrow.

I’m a college student and I’ve been looking for a really good soul food spot to get authentic food from the south and I found it. My friends had ordered food from this place on Friday and I tasted just one of her fried shrimps and I knew immediately that I wanted to get food from here. So the next day on Saturday I ordered fried shrimp with mac & cheese, cabbage and cornbread it was extremely delicious and I would highly recommend everyone checking this place out.
