Allez! is one of those gems you wish you found sooner. The food is consistently outstanding — fresh, flavorful, and made with real care. Whether it’s lunch, pastries, or something to take home, everything tastes like it was made by someone who genuinely loves cooking.
The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the service has that warm, local feel that makes you want to come back. It’s the kind of place you recommend to friends without hesitation.

Just in town for a visit & this lovely place was recommended for lunch. The food & wine was soo delicious, the bread was freshly baked, & the fruit tarts were a perfect complement dessert. And how can you not love the tiny little spoon in the salt bowl lol. Owners & staff were very friendly & attentive full of great conversation.

This is the best hidden gem. This French restaurant is a fave of ours. The staff provides excellent customer service. The food is so phenomenal that you start daydreaming that you lived in the houses across the street so you could visit everyday. I highly recommend a visit here so you can experience the outstanding dishes and desserts and friendly vibes you are met with when you walk through the door!

Late on posting this. We go to Allez regularly. The food is absolutely amazing each and every time. I added photos from the Valentines dinner we had there. Just a wonderfully put together menu. If you have not dined here take the time to try it you won’t be disappointed. The staff is wonderful and very professional. Great selection of wines and classic French/European dishes. The place is small but once you get at a table the food and the service makes it all worth the wait. No reservations so try getting there for a little early dinner (4:30) 🙂

Glad to have a pretty good restaurant in town! We only had their soup, “lunch box” on the menu, and the mini saint honoree cake but can’t wait to go back again for the full dinner. It was great to learn something background story of this place. The chef/ owner is originally from France in the 80s. Settled in the el dorado area in 1988 and the rest is history.

The vibe reminded me of Europe. As you can see from the photos I posted, the sausage was exceptionally well prepared and took me back to Germany for a while. The staff was very nice, food a bit on the pricey side, portions just the right size, and overall a good experience. Give it a try…or do what you want, I’m not your parent, this is just my take.

Wow, we had to come back a second day in a row, because the food was so incredible! I spent my birthday here and can’t recommend Allez enough if you’re in the Placerville area. It’s unique that it presents as a cafe, but also a smaller restaurant. Kind of feels like you’re eating at someone’s kitchen, the atmosphere is very warm and cozy with a lot of neat places to sit (bar, tables, by the window).
The food is traditional French with a full menu to choose from, but Allez also offers a fixed menu that changes as well. I highly recommend the fixed menu for those who are hungry and not sure what to eat!
You can also get amazing coffee and pastries here, wine, and the staff is super friendly 🙂 would come back in a heartbeat!
