This place gives really fresh and authentic asian and kerelan quisine and a fresh move away from british i dian style food. When they say itd hot I mean it their medium is our hot I dont mind that though. I had prawns really succulent and fresh and not rock hard they were hot. We decided to give Allepey Kitchen a try on new years day and I’m so glad we did! We were a party of 5 and they were super helpful, we hadn’t tried the cuisine before and they were really helpful with suggestions and guidance on the menu. what I especially loved were the small tasters of your main before they brought it out, I wanted my curry a little milder and it was perfect. Can’t recommend them enough, we will definitely be back!

I wish I could give a rating much higher than 5. Absolutely amazing food!! The porota was just the right texture and taste and the Malabar Lamb Curry had the perfect balance of spices, which gave it the taste and flavour you don’t get in many restaurant curries. Above all the high level hospitality that Hari and his team showed is very very rare in restaurant settings. We wish Alleppey Kitchen all the very best. May your business grow more. Looking forward to our next visit!!

3rd visit Jan ‘26 – Wonderful as always. Tried the veg dosa which was great. They are so accommodating, I thought the coriander chutney was lovely so asked for extra for our Kerala Porotta, another fine choice along with the Cheera Parippu curry and veg rice. Awesome. As usual they come out with sauce samples which they gladly change. New deal is if you will write a review, no pressure that it has to be 5 star, they give you 25% off – a fair deal! We will be back.
2nd visit Sept ‘25- So good we had to come back! Brought our friends who were amazed that the cook came out with samples to check the spice level before the final dish! Two of the four of us made adjustments that were perfect! Same amazing level of service and the chutneys, Aubergine curry along with the Kerala Porotta bread were amazing! Thank you Alleppey Kitchen!

Owner took time to explain the menu and make recommendations. He even brought sauce samples so we could adjust the heat, my wife bumped hers up to medium. Customer service was top notch. We tried ghee rice, beef fry, beef roast, chicken curry, and porotta. Everything tasted good, but the porotta and beef dishes were absolutely amazing. The beef fry, porotta and beef roast are a must-try — rich, flavorful, and truly authentic.
The hospitality was warm and welcoming, and they also have a parking area, which is a big plus. Overall, it was a great experience. A very good place for authentic South Indian food.

We come here regularly and are always treated like family. The food is outstanding and tailored to your preference in spiciness – they even bring out little taster cups so you can try it first. Not a standard curry house – lots of special Kerala dishes to be found here, and a large selection of starters and breads that you wont get elsewhere, all in a beautiful, peaceful setting served by people who remember your name and have your drinks ready when you walk in.
