I love this place. I’m from AZ, when I’m anywhere close to the diner, I come here! Always VERY welcoming, food is amazing, they accommodate all my changes. Homemade pies, cakes, etc. Diana is a REAL gem and is always SO KIND and a pleasure to see each time I come. I’ve also brought my brother here and his girlfriend, all at different times!

Dont usually put reviews, but this place was amazing. The waiter was amazing, extremely interactive, extremely informational about the menu, very lively, and kept up with the drinks constantly making sure we were good. The atmosphere was beautiful and very unique and very clean. The food was extremely good, and they were very customizable with swapping things out. And the desert was very good. And she was very honest on what was fresh made in the kitchen and what was bought from a restaurant store.

Firstly, you won’t find this gem by seeing it while driving on I-80. It is slightly off exit 19 and is located about 5 minutes from the exit, if that. But, once you get to the Allamuchy Diner you are well on the way to truly a wonderful culinary experience. I give this place a true rating of 5 stars. Everything was perfect. My breakfast included an omelet (a western omelet with the addition of chorizo sausage) was stunningly delicious and it was a perfect 10. The hash browns were hot and crispy, as they should be. They were appropriately seasoned and not too dry tasting or too greasy. The coffee was hot, and fresh, and delicious. Our waitress, Alex, was always attentive to our needs. The decor is welcoming and has country charm and appeal. The place is spotlessly clean. (Another star earned for that). The bathroom is super cool. It is an old fashioned kind with a pull chain. (Another star here). When was the last time you saw that? The seating is not large. It consists of a limited number of tables and chairs plus it a counter with seats. It can feel cramped inside if the place is full. But, don’t let that stop you. The food is too good to pass by. Their parking lot is small. However, there is also plenty of adjacent free street parking available. So, no one is left without a parking spot. For me the Allamuchy Diner easily is, on an overall basis, 5 stars.

I want to start by saying the food is very good. Thats actually what made me come back a second time. To start i called to make a reservation yesterday and everyone there today seemed confused as if no reservation had been made. When I made it they didnt even ask for a name, I just told them my name as I didnt want my table going to someone else. Once we arrived we sat down and when our server arrived there was no greeting just an “are you ready”. We didnt even get her name or good morning. Once our drinks and food arrived all we got was an “okay” as she placed them on the table and walked away. No enjoy, no let me know if you need anything. When she came to check in she gave yet another “okay here?” and then left. I have to say this is some of the worst service I have every received, even a restaurant with worse food, mind you this food is very good, their servers try harder for the customer than this places. An introduction and some basic manners, showing that you actually care goes a long way. If you have ever received nice service you will notice this place is rather unprofessional. For how pleasant the restaurant looks and food tastes its really a let down when the service is this subpar. I will be ordering takeout from now on until servers can learn how to treat people professionally.

The food came pretty quick, but service was so bad. Our waiter checked on us at the very end long after all of our waters were empty and we were done eating. We had to get up and grab salt, pepper, ketchup and hot sauce. And we also saw other patrons do the same, so this was not a one off. The atmosphere is pretty cozy, but nothing about this place (portions were okay for cost) would compel us to come back. Expected more since this place has pretty good reviews and is a local diner.

This place is a hidden gem! I went today with my 8 year old son and when you walk in you’re greeted very nicely. The atmosphere is very welcoming. Our waitress was super nice and polite. Also, the food was fantastic as well! My son and I both loved it and I highly recommend if you’re in the area to check this neat place out.
