The guy who served us was rude. Our tenderloins were not fresh and were microwaved. He didn’t charge us for the tenderloins, but we won’t be back. VERY DISAPPOINTED

I feel like I left The Alibi with more than I came with. A beer and a cocktail for $7? I’ve paid more for gas station jerky.
I started with a Lunchbox—turns out orange juice is a rare commodity in Lamont. No problem. Switched to an Irish Car Bomb. No Guinness. I was 0 for 2 and beginning to feel like the problem might be me.
My friends asked why I didn’t just order a normal beer. Fair question. But where’s the fun in that?
The owner’s daughter was behind the bar and handled it all with a calm, no-nonsense rhythm. Friendly, fast, and clearly prepared for whatever chaos RAGBRAI was about to bring.
It’s not a place that puts on airs. No frills, no juice, no Guinness. But also no attitude, no weird vibe, and no regrets.
Would definitely go back. Might even try ordering a iowa car bomb just to see what happens.

Like to keep the small town bar going but couple years ago I could get a cheeseburger and fry for $7.50 now they want 12 and they they jew you on the fries and don’t give you salt or ketchup after asking for it twice

Best burger in Lamont, err the ONLY burger in Lamont, unless you count the nuked gas station burger guaranteed to cause indigestion for the afternoon.
But really, all kidding aside, the Alibi provides a great environment to grab some food, drink a beer, or just shoot a round of pool. The owner and staff are exactly the people you want to have around to have a good time.
