Fast, Good, and Cheap. Not to mention the dining area was very well kept and clean. The food was really good.

Best barbacoa burrito I’ve had in a long time. I want to come back and try the whole menu. Service at the drive-thru could have been friendlier… but the food is worth it.

Got a craving for pan dulce. Decided to visit Alfonso Hernandez bakery to see if the baked goods was as good as the reviews. I was very disappointed with the appearance and with the sweet bread. The bread didn’t have taste. From the time I went to go and pick up the bread to the time I got back home and had my sweet bread with coffee. It was very hard. Have not tried the food nonetheless, the baked goods are less than to be desired. Definitely do not recommend!

The food is amazing. Let’s get that out of the way. From breakfast burritos to more traditional Mexican dishes you really can’t beat it. The customer service is top notch as well. The food is usually fast, and the seating is simple yet roomy enough so no complaints there.

We went in for lunch today around 1 the lady working at the counter seemed to have an attitude. We got street tacos carne they were horrible so was the carne burrito. Sadly I won’t be back.

Maybe I came on the wrong day the rice, beans, and crunchy taco had no flavor. The salsa had none either thank goodness I had a couple packs of Texas Pete. I also tried a Carne guisada burrito. It was better than the rest of the stuff I had

Food was not great, the young girl who took our order had very little knowledge about items on their menu. My son and daughter in law lived in Abilene 10 yrs ago and always bragged about Alfonso’s . My son came in for the weekend and took me there so I could try. He was disappointed!

Great small restaurant, good food. Menudo was being chugged by people inside, I didn’t think because so many places no longer offer it so kicking myself. This isn’t fancy, boogie good, this is what mom and dad made us, the carne guidada, barbacoa. Eat and enjoy no pretense. Just bring done patience and an appetite.

One of Abilene’s Best when it comes to Authentic Mexican food! We came in on nye to get the best tamales. Prices and Quality reasonable. The owner is super friendly with a contagious smile. On the back wall, near the bathrooms, Alfonso Hernandez showed us his unique wall gallery. Some are memories of himself and family. Thank you Alfonso Hernandez Bakery for severing Abilene and the Big country for so many years!

My order was missing burritos. When I went back in to get my order, the cashier was nice and tried to help while the food prep person was yelling profanities about how I was probably stealing. Ironically someone else came in and had their order missing a burrito too. To top it all off, I found this piece Brillo pad somehow mixed in with my food when I got home.
