When you’re talking about Granbury, there’s not many italian restaurants that deserve to call themselves italian.
Alex’s Pizza, is a restaurant that deserves to call itself italian. From the moment I walked in, the smells of marinara sauce and cheese and pizza just fill the air. I knew I was in a good place. I’m big on Italian. If it’s sucks.I’m gonna tell you, it sucks. If it’s good, i’m gonna tell you, it’s a good!!
This place…
It’s a good!!
Today I ordered a medium pie with pepperoni, a chicken palm sub, antipasta.
Not one of them disappointed. The chicken parm had meat that you could taste with melted cheese all over and marinara sauce, not so much that it was dripping all over the place. The pie was as close as you can get to perfect. There was no grease dripping off it, the cheese was evenly placed and the pepperoni were plentiful. The antipasta, the flavors in the antipasta was so good, each time my fork came up with a different flavor. So far, if you keep score in Granbury, and I haven’t been to Pastafina yet. Alex has what I call real italian food. My kinda place!!
Thank you for the canoli. Delicious!!
Arnold schwarzenegger put it best when he said, “I’ll be back!!”
Bravo!!

Excellent pizza!
We ordered 2 xl pizzas (‘works’ and a pepperoni) and were blown aways by both! Crust/bake was perfect a were the toppings and the sauce was incredibly flavorful! I’d say about as close to NY pie as you can get!
We also ordered 4 slices of cheesecake to give them a try and they were excellent AUTH THE EXCEPTION OF the cookies and cream one…. it was old and gross, unfortunately. You could tell it was old and should have been changed out so that no one ordered it.

If you’re craving great pizza in Granbury, Alex’s Pizza Pasta Subs hits the spot every time! Their brick-oven and specialty pizzas are flavorful, fresh, and cooked just right — with options by the slice if you’re looking for a quick lunch. Beyond pizza, the menu is huge, with tasty subs, hearty pastas, calzones, salads, and even delicious desserts, so there’s something for everyone. The atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly, and you can tell the team takes pride in what they serve. Whether you’re grabbing dinner with friends or getting takeout for the family, this place delivers satisfying Italian comfort food that keeps us coming back again and again. Highly recommended!

This is a great little hidden gem! I usually take pictures of my food, but i ate it too quickly because it was that good! (edit: look at this glorious plate of spaghetti and meatballs!) can recommend pasta or pizza, whatever you’re hungry for. Their desserts are not to be missed either! If you want to get great Italian food made by a good team of people, stop here.

Had the super sub, my husband had the calamari. Bread on sub was not fresh, meat was one slice of each , ham, salami and provolone cheese for this large roll, there was plenty of lettuce and red peppers to fill up roll but no onions, and the Italian dressing was awful! The calamari was very small pieces and very rubbery. If you want a really good sub with fresh bread and plenty of meat go to Jersey Mike’s or Jimmy John’s. I say a big No to Alex ‘s

Ordered the turkey sub to go, and it was the worst sandwich i have ever gotten. 3 thin slices that they call turkey looked like bologna, and 2 slices of thin provolone. The rest of the sun was a half a head of lettuce and tomatoes. Will never go there again!
