I love the their ranch dressing and my wife loves the raspberry vinaigrette dressing on her favorite salad the Strawberry Chicken salad pictured below.
Liz is a great waitress and has served us on numerous occasions. The entire wait staff are professional, friendly and efficient.

I have lived in Rochester Hills for 20 years and I’ve gone to Alex‘s for many years. Their service and food quality has gone downhill. I ordered carry out and upon arriving home these are my chicken sandwiches. I had also ordered two rice puddings. Which they forgot to put in my bag.
We called the owner Alex himself and voiced our concerns and we requested a credit.
Alex was extremely defensive, rude and made excuses for why the sandwiches were soggy. All he did was offer to remake our food. It was a very long day. My husband just had surgery and it was pouring rain. The last thing I wanted to do was drive back up to Alex‘s and pick up more soggy sandwiches. What a waste of $50. Threw it straight in the trash. They are horrible and do not care about their customers. Do yourself a favor and go to Rams Horn, National Coney Island, or George’s.
First time and will 100% be my last time.
Came in, and took 2 minutes to be acknowledged, and then when I said it’d be just 1, the server looked annoyed.
Was seated and immediately was asked if I was ready to order, so rushed from the beginning.
Ordered 3 eggs, sausage and hash browns.
Received 2 eggs, unless they were the world’s tiniest eggs, so didn’t get what I was charged for.
And all the food was warm but not hot. Meaning it is not fresh.
Probably cooked up a ton of sausage and set on a “warmer” section of grill.
None of the servers had a smile. My server in particular seemed to hate her job, she dropped off my food and never table touched for 20 minutes.
So I never had the opportunity to complain and get my order corrected.
She never came by to refill my drink, which was empty for 15 minutes
And! This place has an extreme verbally abusive line cook. 2 different times I witnessed and heard him yelling/screaming at the servers.
Seriously? This can’t be an acceptable thing to be happening at a so called “family” restaurant.
Will not be returning and I urge anyone else, to just go get breakfast anywhere else. Don’t support this establishment.
At no point in that 45 mins did the server come over to check on us or give us an update. We saw other people who arrived after us get their food and leave. Another party of 8 who was sat after us also got their food before us. After 40 mins, I went up to the bar area to ask our server why the food was taking so long, but she would not turn around so I asked another guy who was next to her (he had a kitchen apron on so I assumed he was the food runner). He said he has no idea, did not ask her what my order was, did not ask the kitchen how much longer for our food. He just shrugged his shoulders and said he didn’t know. I told him we have been waiting for over 30 mins and ask him if he could have her at least bring the kids’ food out because they were getting restless.
5 mins later the food came.
What im most disappointed at is the lack of communication. If the server had just kept us updated about our order or maybe explain that food orders are taking a while, I would have had her put in the kids order first and then the adults.
