Most delicious cranberry scone I have ever had! Warm, moist, and not too sweet. So glad I stopped in here for breakfast. Definitely will be coming back as soon as possible! Also fantastic baguette. Strongly recommend Alexandra’s Bread to anyone!

Alexandra’s Bread makes the best whole wheat bread I have ever tasted, and I have done my share of sampling all over New England and beyond. The owners are warm, lovely, friendly people who run a high quality bakery. Although I am particularly partial to their whole wheat bread, all of their products (scones, cookies, olive bread, brownies, etc. etc.) are excellent and sold at a very reasonable price.

Bakeries are a weakness of mine. You could smell the wonderful aroma of freshly baked bread as you approached the store. We got there at 9 am and many of my favorites were almost sold out!

Alexandra and Jon are more than owners and bakers of Alexandra’s bread. Theirs is a way of being, a culture of feast. The bread, scones, and cookies are wonderful. My favorite is the whole wheat bread. Call ahead and reserve your loaf. Alexandra and Jon have created something that is rarely found anywhere in the United States. Their bakery is common in Europe, but a rare gem here. The baked goods are more than tasty. They are made with passion, love, and mindful simplicity. The other day I saw Jon making something and he held the baking bowl like a mother holds a baby next to his body. I taste that passion and love every time with 100% consistency.

I love to come to Alexandra‘s bread. I come early to get them nice and warm fresh out of the oven. Of course they’re baking all morning, so really it’s just timing. I love to get my grandchildren cookies. It’s a family routine now and when my grandchildren are with mom and dad. I send them in the mail For all to enjoy. I especially like the oatmeal raisin cookies just like My mother used to make when I was a kid. Very nice people and also they have nice things to buy gifts and some used items which are wonderful. I got a beautiful rug that will look beautiful gorgeous in my granddaughters room. They have more than just spread. The scones have made many of my ladies very happy for I am a CNA. So wonderful with tea and crumpets for a morning ritual. Thank you, Alexander’s bread happy to support a small business. also, when you walk in there, the smells are incredible. A fresh baked goods made with love. It’s right across from animal crackers on Main Street right after the liquor store.

They are a wonderful couple making sour dough bread by hand. They slow raise their dough like the old fashion way and let it ferment slowly. It’s so delicious they run out quickly So put your order in a few days ahead❤️

Alexandra’s Bread has some unreal bread, but make sure to get there early! It goes fast. (You can order in advance, if you don’t want to take the chance that they’re out of what you want!). The Olive loaf and the Cranberry scones are unreal. The Cranberry Scones are light and moist–different than a traditional dry scone, but they’re just amazing. I saw that another reviewed said to buy extra and freeze them, I might have to try that next time! Great idea! And the olive load. Whoa. It’s this gorgeous baguette, with kalamata olives dotting the top. They’re generous with the olives, which makes these such an awesome indulgence. Every time I’m in the neighborhood I try to get some. The regular bread (cobbles, etc.) is great too, just don’t miss out on those two items. The rest of the story is kitschy and cute. Lots of oil cloth and Cape Ann type stuff.
