I think parking kills this place… but park across the street at Kroger.
The service is good and the restaurant is very clean!
The menu is different as far as what is available for lunch vs dinner… for instance they don’t have burritos for dinner.
I ended up getting a quesadilla and having them add grilled chicken (which wasn’t an option), but was still good!
Also, you don’t get the complimentary chips and sauce… which was fine, because I eat too many anyways!
I did like that the grill was open where you could see it, and they cook in front of you… so it was nice to see that they had a clean kitchen.

Wonderful taco restaurant in East Nashville! We ordered the el pastor tacos and tinga quesadilla. The flavors were so delicious. It was an excellent meal. The atmosphere is laid back and warm. The only negative I would say is that the portions are on the smaller side. They validate parking for the lot.

Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in Nashville. The dishes are exquisite, the service is excellent, and the prices are more than fair. We’ve spent a long time searching for that truly authentic Mexican flavor, and we finally found it here. We’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to everyone we know.

Grabbed lunch here while in town for the weekend. Tacos were delicious, fresh and hot. Restaurant atmosphere slightly off – only two other groups in addition to me & my husband, one server for the restaurant – maybe we caught the staff at an off hour. One group of guys even came inside, sat down, but then immediately got up and left the restaurant – just as an example of how something was off with the ambiance. Would recommend for quick bite – skip the rice, go for tacos – 3 each order.

Wow!! This place is amazing!
It was a little challenging to find on the restaurant on second level but well worth the effort!!!
Especially since there was zero wait. I don’t even remember what I ordered but it blew my mind!!!! Such a great chef and great staff! This is one of THE BEST and AUTHENTIC Latin American food options in Nashville!!! Great spot for a casual date. *Tip: Park at Walgreens for free, they won’t tow.

Lengthy wait in a nearly empty establishment for overpriced tacos. You pay extra for any sides. No options for chips, guac, or salsa. The carnitas were pretty wet, but tasty. Combine the fact that you are paying a steep price for parking and I’d say this place won’t be around long.

We’ve enjoyed Alebrije several times, and tried many different dishes. Each is a brilliant melange of spectacular flavors. Nothing is just thrown togther: every bite is wonderfully curated. It’s hard to recommend one thing over another, but try the mole for sure! Red Snapper Tacos & Asparagus Tostada pictured.

We had The brisket tacos and the enchilada with mole both plates were amazing, we could decide which one was better so I recommend both. We also had the churros that come with some sort of berry jam inside, pretty simple and good. Would definitely recommend. The flavors are very legit Mexican food.

My husband and I stopped by Alebrije for a late lunch and it was so delicious! We had the Chicken Mole Enchiladas, Brisket Tacos, Pastor Huarache, and Tres Leches. The mole was a perfect blend of sweet and spicy, it was so rich and earthy. The homemade tortillas were so flavorful, especially accompanied by the tender brisket. The huarache was an unexpected delight, the masa base was so crispy, yet soft. And finally, the Tres Leches was so light and not too sweet, the perfect last bite. The atmosphere was enjoyable, our server was personable and knowledgeable, and the food was so fresh. We walked to the car talking about how the authentic flavors really fed our soul. Truly a wonderful meal!

I consider myself a taco snob. A genuine Taco snob, because so many folks just take ingredients and throw them together in order to make a quick buck.
Alebrije is almost upsettingly good. Every single ingredient was perfect. Every bite of food I had made me want to cancel my plans and just stay and talk to the chefs!
Chef Edgar and Chef Ryan have an unmistakable delivery of an absolutely perfect product!
And at the very end of the experience when I’m thinking I’m overwhelmingly full, they give me the best tres leche I think I’ve ever had.
If you have people coming from out of town, the atmosphere here is absolutely going to make you seem more important. Between the vibe, the food and the customer service I will probably never eat another Taco in the state of Tennessee. Great work guys!
