We stopped by for dinner on a Tuesday night and we were seated quickly. The chicken picatta was very flavorful, but it was a little dry and a bit salty. The chicken gorgonzola was amazing. I didn’t love their choice of bread, but it was hot and fresh. The atmosphere was lively and the service was excellent . We’ll definitely be back again in the future to try something else.

We made a reservation and were seated promptly. Waiter was very attentive. All of the dishes were delicious. The lobster ravioli and rigatoni salsiccia were a bit too creamy for my taste.

Yum, yum, yum! Everything we had here was spot on. Our waiter was helpful with menu recommendations. I would especially encourage ordering the burrata dish for an appetizer, along with a nice seafood dish. The seafood in my main course was cooked perfectly! The only downside is that due to the interior being so modern, the sound really carries. When the restaurant is full, it is a bit difficult to have a conversation around tables. All in all, it was a nice dining experience with friends.

Good food and good service. Water glasses stayed full but our server was a little distracted by nearby tables. I wish the portions had been just a little bit bigger. The margartia wasn’t very good, however, they had a very nice selection of wine. The atmosphere is very elegant and welcoming. All in all, I do recommend!

From the moment we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a friendly smile by Aldo himself! We had 730 reservations and were there a bit early so we sat and ordered a yummy cucumber cocktail! We had the amazing pizza and calamari. The salmon and lasagna dishes were to die for! My favorite dessert was the pistachio and amaretto cake. When we come back on our yearly visit we will be back for sure. So glad we had reservations because this place was super busy. They definitely know what they’re doing since being around from 1985! Loved the artwork on the walls as well such a classy place.

This is a great Italian restaurant! Make no mistake, the food is wonderful, but it’s pricy, and probably just due to the location.
The atmosphere is nice and simplistic. The wait staff was very nice and attentive. Our server Mario handled our party of 16 like a seasoned professional, and he was just wonderful all around.
The drinks were made very well and I’d strongly recommend the Carjillo…it’s incredible! If you’re in the need to celebrate for an occasion, Aldo’s is a great place to start!

Been eating at Aldo’s for years and realized I’d never done a write-up. Once again, a wonderful experience. I usually recommend the Osso Buco. This time, our party of five on a Thursday, enjoyed Scampi Colina, Cristina Pizza, a couple Pollo dishes, and Linguine Alle Vongole. Service was excellent as usual. We have never had a bad meal/experience here. They also have a nice selection of wines and desserts which should satisfy a variety of tastes.

I hadn’t been to Aldo’s since they were located on Huebner. It’s been over a decade. My husband surprised me and made reservations for our anniversary. It’s better than I remember it!! Gorgeous location, wonderful service, fantastic food. I was so glad that they didn’t bring us our check prematurely. That always makes me feel like they’re kicking us out. He didn’t bring it until we asked for it, which we appreciated very much.

It’s Restaurant Week and it was my first time here. I arrived to my reservation early so went to happy hour. The drinks, the food, and the staff were amazing. They did not disappoint

The service was outstanding. Our waiter had the timings perfected and was available just enough to not be annoying.
Additionally the cocktails were delightful . My smoky hibiscus mezcal was served beautifully and did not disappoint.
However, the food was disappointing. The carpaccio was fantastic. The slices of beef incredibly thin and crispy capers was a new treat.
My angel hair seafood past was over cooked and slightly mushy. My wife’s linguini was okay but a bit overpowered by the garlic and basil.
Finally, the pistachio cake. It was flavorless. Including the cream cheese frosting. Overall the cake was the worst part of the meal.
I feel that the meal started off strong with the bread and olive oil service followed by a delicious beef carpaccio, but was then increasingly disappointing.
We tried this restaurant because of its standing in the San Antonio Express, now I know that that rating is not to be believed.
