The best pizza that I have ever had! I never eat the crust but from Alcanton I ate all! Salad was great and also love the gnocchi!

We stopped by on a week night and sat on
front terrace. It’s a very basic, but cozy space. Our server was great! We had the ensalada innombrable (wonderful), Carnes Frías pizza and un Jarra de vino de la Casa (both great). We would definitely return. We also had an apple strudel, served at our table but from the coffee shop a couple doors down which was also delicious!

It’s a nice place to taste italian cuisine such as pizzas, pasta, lasagna and other traditional dishes. Salads are not bad, wine is good, pizza and habanero sauces are great, all ingredients are high quality but service can get better.

It was. Pretty good. This time I had lasagna which wasn’t as good as other places, but still pretty good.

I’ve been to many five star restaurants in NYC to get quality pasta.. this blew my mind and exceeded my expectations by a mile. Had the Frutta di Mare pasta—incredible.

My husband and I used to have a nice dinner at this restaurant regularly. This year the prices grew up 5-10$, but the taste of the food is still delicious. I like visiting this place during the week, because on weekends it is always crowded and noisy. The only one thing which needs to be improved is the speed of the service. Sometimes you should wait for up to 20-30 mins for your order.

I have never written a bad review before but this is for anyone like me who had high hopes for this place. Not worth the travel time from the city or the wait once you arrive. It’s a sad excuse for the real thing. If you are visiting, just wait until you get home for your pizza fix. The ricotta is just cotija, yea what’s sprinkled atop chilaquiles! An Aperol spritz costs the same as the worst tourist cafe in Venice, and here you get to stare at nothing but wealthy locals who don’t know any better. They have mango onone of their pies, insane! it took 40mins to receive my pizza and when I did it was undercooked and flimsy. 360$ pesos for one person! It’s cheaper in Italia or NYC and incomparable. I never thought I would say this in my lifetime, but save your money and go to Dominos!

My absolute favorite restaurant! We’re an American family living near Chipilo and any time we have visitors from the US or Europe they are delighted by Al Canton. Paolo the owner is often there and greets us, and the wait staff by now know what my kids will order. The food is always so perfectly cooked, seasoned, and presented. I adore everything I’ve ever eaten there, with special love for Fettuccini Paolo and the Gnocci con Salsa de Hongos. Also the house wine is a very generous pour at such a reasonable price, or for something lighter the Tinto Verano is delightful. Don’t forget to order a tiramisu from their sister cafe next door for dessert (though this is paid separately). Also I don’t think they accept cards so bring cash, but really your money goes a long way and buys some of the best Italian food outside of Italy!
