Our first visit, Alba is terrific! excellent food- we had seafood black linguine, swordfish livornese, and pasta caprese. Jimmy the owner is just a Doll! Warm, comfortable ambiance. The cocktails were perfect too and reasonably priced. Alba is a great addition to the dining scene. Can’t wait to go back!

First time here. Atmosphere is relaxing and nice. Family run business… Jimmy the owner is wonderful. Pasta dishes were exceptional! Appetizers and French soup especially was amazing.! Homemade blueberry and apple pie that was out of this world. They couldn’t do enough for you for lunch five days a week and they had so many tables. It was buzzing on a Sunday night.
Also, they have a bar so Jimmy makes the best mixed drinks.

Our first visit to Alba’s and we were so pleased! Service, menu selections, cocktails, food and hospitality are all first rate! And Jimmy is the most amiable host. We started with the Apple Salad (a special) – baby arugula, walnuts, gorgonzola and apples, all lightly dressed. Perfect starter! The cocktails are generous and expertly prepared. We had black ink linguine with seafood, swordfish livornese (both specials) and pasta calabrese. Every entree was expertly prepared, flavorful and delicious! And portions are generous. We shared the coconut snowball and homemade apple pie a la mode for dessert; complimentary biscotti are brought to each table as part of the service. Desserts were excellent! And Jimmy served us complimentary Port to round out a very lovely meal. Prices are typical for Bergen County; food/drinks/service are really good! First time, not the last time!

It was our first time having dinner here and it was very good. The place is inviting and the food and service was great. The food we had which was chicken parmigiana and chicken forintino were both delicious and very generous portions. The dessert menu had plenty to pick from and we had a cappuccino which was so delicious. We will be returning.

Our first time at Alba’s this week was absolutely wonderful! As a 42 year resident of Hillsdale, I have experienced other restaurants at that location. None were even close to the high caliber of Alba’s. The ambiance, the service, and the quality of the food were all first class! We were served by Lume and Jimmy (Alba’s parents) who are true pros and were so warm and welcoming! This restaurant is highly recommended!

We have been to Alba 6x since the opening! Jimmy and his crew are fantastic, we have never been disappointed. All specials are different and fresh, and the service is top notch. The most important aspect to us is that the food quality and service is so consistent!! Jimmy roams around the floor checking in on everyone and ensuring the experience is top notch, which it always is! The price points on all the wine selections is excellent compared to other restaurants. Try the seafood salad, the spendini ( if you get lucky and it’s on the menu), the veal chop, the 4 cheese pasta special etc.. too many to mention!!! Bring your appetite and expect to be treated like royalty by Jimmy and his team!

I was looking for someplace special to celebrate our anniversary, close to home, and found that this restaurant had recently opened. (Important to note that this is a brand new restaurant in the location that was formally occupied by Osso Bucco.) Since we feel strongly about keeping things in the community, it seemed like the perfect choice. All of the dishes were prepared to perfection and served with care. We shared the stuffed artichoke hearts appetizer. (They took the trouble to split the dishes onto separate plates.) Entrées were the short ribs and the capellini boscomare, with tiramisu for our shared dessert. Although we had completed our meal, the owner found out it was our anniversary and brought us an extra dessert, the hazelnut gelato, topped with walnuts, with a candle to celebrate. (We also brought home a few chocolate dipped mini biscotti.)
The hospitality was delightful, and the service was excellent. We will definitely return and try other dishes. Would highly recommend!

I placed an order online through seamless and when my wife went to pick it up it wasn’t ready. According to them, it was never received even though I got a confirmation. Even worse, the hostess that was helping her was very rude. All of the staff there seemed to be the same. Seems like when it changed owners, the service and food went downhill. We won’t be back again!
