We frequent a lot of taco buses, we love our tacos. My biggest disappointment when looking for birria is usually the tacos are not crispy like they should be. Im less.tham fond of corn tortillas and definely prefer flour. This place was no different, but don’t judge so quickly. There was SO MUCH MEAT in these tacos, and the red and green salsa that comes with it added the perfect amount of heat. Even though the menu photo of the birria shows it being dunked in what would only be assumed as a sauce that would come with the burritos, it was noticeably absent when I got my order. Prepared birria concentrate paired with these tacos was PHENOMENAL. Summary : with experience and a little preplanning and execution, these could be the best tacos for the best price in the downtown area. At $3/taco, for the volume and number of tacos, it’s definitely a bargain. SIDE NOTE: I love elote ina cup – literally one of the only ways I will eat corn – im not a fan of it on the cob. My B.F. ordered the elite and when I got it and saw it was on the cob, I almost forfeited my prize. Fortunately my, the alcohol won and I was dying for some carbs so tried the corn – i was pleasantly surpised!!! Idk how they.managed to make the flavor stick to the cob, but I really enjoyed the elote (on the cob) I am 25% sure it wasn’t due to the alcohol. Definitely try this place. And if you been drinking, 100% youre gonna love it! I 100% will go back sober and leave another review if it isn’t what I thought.

Fast, flavorful, fresh. My partner and I had a little taco truck showdown date where we hit up four different spots on the east side and this one was our favorite! We will be back again to see how it holds up on our second showdown date.

These are the best street tacos out there! My son just introduced me to this taco truck and I highly recommend trying it! Try it on a Thursday. They are only &1. They are only $2.50 the other days, so still cheap. They also make great creamy fruit drinks. Try them! Thurs, Nov 7th, 2024 This taco truck is on E University in Des Moines IA. These are some of the best tacos and Burritos. I got a burrito (steak, rice, beans, onions, silantro and cheese). They have chicken one also. They are $10, but they are huge!. I bet there was at least $20 worth of meat on min today. Its bigg enough for 2 people. I had almost half of it for lunch, half for supper & still have some left for lunch tomorrow. Its a great deal for only $10 & tax. Check it out if you’re in the area. Its Authentic Mexican Food. Outdoor seating is available, first come first served. Enjoy!

My girlfriend and I stopped by twice, first visit they got our order all wrong, granted the food was good so we gave them another shot on our next visit we had to wait 40 mins for our order due to the fact they couldn’t keep the orders straight and five customers that arrived after us received their orders ahead of us, and once again.the got our order completely wrong. This will be the last time we stop at this particular taco truck

worst meat ever! NEVER AGAIN please save your money this was such a waste I called twice to make an order no answer pulled up and workers were on the phone and no cars at all! Drove 30mins because this place was my go to for tacos come come and it was mostly fat instead of meat which I hate! 0/10

Grew up on Taco trucks in California so you can trust me. The asada tacos are good but the meat is more brisket than asada. Not sure if that’s an Iowa thing or not. Also they are $2.50 each. No more $1 tacos on Tuesday apparently.

Decided to give them a 2nd chance since it’s the only truck that had lengua, 1st off, tacos where skimpy, 2. They did not know how to cook a language, you’re supposed to take the language skin off n shred real fine. 3. Chorizo was just minced pork with no flavor. Will not be back ever again.

The way this taco truck goes out of their way to accept credit/debit card transactions (despite the $1 charge) says a lot. The presentation of the truck with it looking very clean and presentable appeals to consumers. They are quick and above all things, the food is delicious! By the way, great idea on using the buzzer devices to tell your customers food’s ready!
