Beautiful decor and cozyOur first time here and there were a few missteps throughout the meal.
Gabriela was wonderful, and she was busy but always came back to check on us.
We ordered the pear salad which she recommended over the beet and carrot salad as we were sharing and she stated it was smaller, along with the Alacruz grill tasting. I asked about the Asado plate that requires 48 hrs notice, and she said it is a full beef rib which would be too rich for my pallet.
The salad came over dressed with heavy oil but greens were fresh and pears were nice. We asked for medium rare plus on the meat as she said it is cooked to the right temp. The server just dropped the platter down without explaining the different cuts or different sauces. The polenta was not hot and she quickly got us another dish, served hot as it should be. Some meats were medium rare, but other thinner cuts the Strip and flap were more medium bordering well done. We were about midway through when Gabriela came back and we asked about the 2 sauces and the finishing salt, and she said we should have gotten a 3rd sauce as well as the salt flakes….not great learning this well into our meal.
She quickly returned with the green Chimichurri sauce, and salt which the meats desperately needed as they were well underseasoned.
Overall you do get a good portion of meats for the price, but we did not care for all the cuts, sporadic temperatures of the meats and our overall experience.

I will be going back there again. Good food. I love the ambiance. I think the music inside can be softer. Good cocktails. Empanada with beef is good. We split the skirt steak. The fries are okay, not the best.

We had an incredible dining experience at Alacruz Grill! We started with the Burrata Alacruz — absolutely delicious and the perfect way to kick off the meal. For entrees, we had the filet mignon paired with the mixta salad and a side of mashed potatoes — everything was cooked to perfection. Our kids ordered the pasta and chicken tenders, and even their plates were spotless by the end! We finished the evening with the Mr. Tango and the Chocotorta desserts, which were both outstanding. Every bite from start to finish was amazing. We’ll definitely be returning every time we’re in the area!

If I could give more stars- I would! We went on a Friday evening to celebrate my husband’s birthday. From the moment you walk in you’re greeted with warmth and welcoming arms.
I believe the owner greeted us and throughout our time there checked in with us. I love how proud he is of his creation. It truly is amazing and love that you can see the fire roaring while our meals were cooking. From the appetizers to dessert everything we had was amazing and full of so much flavor. We’re definitely going back! Great gem in Wellington.

Stopped in because o was in town for a baby shower and heard they cooked on wood fire!! That’s a must for me! Walked in and the smell felt like home to me! Staff welcomed me in like I’m their best customer, owner came to table explained everything about the restaurant and idea, also showed me around which I absolutely loved coming from the restaurant business myself even with out him knowing I was . Absolutely a must if you want great food cooked with passion and history!!

I’ve been fortunate to eat at restaurants all over the world, including many Michelin-starred places, and I can honestly say Alacruz in Wellington stands out in a very special way.
The steak is exceptional—perfectly cooked, high quality, and consistently excellent. In my opinion, there is simply no better place in Wellington for steak. What really sets Alacruz apart though is the atmosphere and the people. The team is incredibly kind, welcoming, and genuinely cares about the experience they provide.

A wonderful special evening with greetings celebrating a birthday. Where do I start? The greeting at the door, the service, and great food (we had the fritter app and squash app which were both delicious ). We had the mixed grill platter, the ceaser salad and poached pear salad and everything was spot on and flavorful.
Milena, our server, was a pleasure, covering the menu questions, to ensuring everything was done right. The experience of the wood fired planchas and service and food will have us coming back soon!

We went with the family to celebrate two birthdays. As soon as we walked in, we loved the atmosphere. Lots of leather and wood and a very nice ambience. We were greeted at the table by either the manager or the owner, I’m not sure which, but he treated the place like his own. We ordered ceviche and salads, ravioli, and the meat dinner for two with sides. Everything was cooked to perfection. It’s nice just sitting watching the open fire as they cook over it. I highly recommend Alacruz Grill. It is well worth the price.

From the moment we arrived, the experience was outstanding. The hostess was incredibly sweet, and the owner even took the time to come over and personally greet us. The ambiance was spectacular. The New York Strip was cooked to perfection and the mash potatoes were amazing. Best yet, our waiter Ben was exceptional–attentive and extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine. Absolutely will be back.
