My sisters and I went to Al Reem for the crispy shawarma we saw on TikTok and we were so glad we went! The food was super fresh and flavorful and the service was amazing. All of the workers were very kind, respectful, and helpful. They even gave us free fries while we waited! The shawarma was soooo good and piping hot! The only smallll critique I have is the shawarma was a little tangy for my taste, I don’t know if it was the pickles or the Toum, but other than that the food and service was a 10/10. May God bless this business!

I waited an hour for crispy chicken shawarma that tasted like total crap. It had a funky taste to it. I wasn’t able to finish eating it nor did I enjoy eating it at all. On top of that, I had to wait an hour just to get the shawarma. I have never waited this long in my life for a shawarma that taste this bad. It was definitely on my “Top 3 Worst Shawarma in Houston list”. Do you yourself a favor and avoid this place. You are better off eating a Hot & Spicy from McDonald’s.

Great food! I’ve enjoyed every visit here, I’ve sampled my way around the menu. The chicken shawarma, zingers, and birria tacos are solid choices. Pro tip: get the garlic sauce, compliments almost everything! As for the birria tacos, they’re a bit of a wild card, sometimes fantastic, other times just okay but overall, a tasty spot I’d recommend!

I haven’t tried food trucks out in a while since the idea of standing around for the same amount of time it would take in a restaurant is weird to me personally, but I’ve had great experiences with the food quality always.
We came in mid day with no rush, all empty. Still waited 20 mins for 2 chicken shawarmas. We wanted to try the viral crispy shawarma with pomegranate molasses
First of all I think he forgot the molasses, second of all the shawarma was not good 🙁
There was a sour taste from the first to last bite that was not enjoyable. The garlic sauce isn’t garlicky at all. Tasted like yogurt. They put yogurt in the shawarma as well which is new to me.
I would not have finished it if I wasn’t so hungry
Oh and mid way through the shaaarma, it was all soggy and falling apart 🙁

Do not recommend trying this place at all. Not only is the food a disappointment, the service especially whoever is at the truck is utterly disrespectful. I ordered the birria ramen and it was extremely salty, but the owner/manager refused to accept it claiming me to be a liar and asking why I tried it if it was “too salty” ♀️ Save your money and skip this place for sure.

Amazing food and great service. Everything is fresh and full of flavor. Mohamed, the owner, is super friendly and makes you feel welcome every time. One of the best food trucks in Houston. Highly recommend.

Gave me food poisoning. I had their shawarma yesterday night and woke up at 3am to a sharp pain in my stomach and could not stop throwing up. Never going again, forever scarred.

Went cause I saw it on Tik tok but honestly not worth it. The chicken shawarma too dry, chicken didn’t taste fresh, and not much else inside the wrap besides chicken. The other food trucks right near it taste more authentic.

The man working there was so friendly — he made us a taco just to try it. And it was so juicy and flavorful!
Honestly, one of the best tacos I’ve ever had.
Highly recommend stopping by and trying their tacos — you won’t regret it!

The worst chicken shawarma ever and the salad is not fresh and spoiled, it caused diarrhea for us. And the taste of the chicken is terrible. And the he charged us more than the menu price!
