An unexpected find serving Bangladeshi food in OKC while I was shopping at the store next door since it’s very hard to find outside of cities with over 6 million people in its metropolitan area. The food was delicious especially the polou rice and the paratha. The fish curry and the egg omelet was good too just that the fish curry could be a little bit less salty. The puri was also good since it was crispy but I wished it was a little bit less greasy. The inside gave off hole-in-a-wall restaurant vibes since it’s small and the owner’s children were helping running the store and some of them were watching TV while I was eating which means that the restaurant is most likely family owned.

Loved this place. Pure Bangladeshi taste and not like most other Bangladeshi restaurants where they serve different country menus but called Bangladeshi restaurant. Kids also liked the food. Very good customer service. Owner is so nice to come and asked our opinion and offered extra food and appetizers. Recommended highly

Came across this place in the middle of a storm tonight and had to stop in. Used to live in NYC and miss those halal carts with a passion. had the roasted chicken curry. Good food, good people! There’s a cool European food market next door as well!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hidden Gem for Halal Cuisine!

We accidentally discovered Al-Madina Restaurant, and what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! This cozy, family-run restaurant serves up a delicious variety of Halal Pakistani, Indian, and Bangladeshi dishes, made with love and care.

Our experience was made even more memorable by Saleem Bhai, who graciously welcomed us in 30 minutes past their closing time. Not only did he open the doors for us, but he also reopened the kitchen and served us fresh, hot food — including freshly baked chapati/roti that was simply perfect! ️

We tried the Chicken Biryani, Haleem, and Mutton Curry — and each dish was bursting with flavor and authenticity. You can even request your spice level just the way you like it — mild, medium, or spicy — which is such a thoughtful touch.

I truly appreciate the personalized service and warm hospitality this place offers. If you’re a fan of sub-continent cuisine or just craving a good, hearty meal made with passion, I highly recommend giving Al-Madina a try. Let’s support and spread the word for what they’re doing right!

Authentic Bangladeshi Flavors Right in OKC!

During my recent visit to Oklahoma City, I had the pleasure of dining at this amazing Bangladeshi restaurant for both lunch and dinner — and I couldn’t be happier with the experience!

The highlight of my meals was without a doubt their Mutton Curry — tender, flavorful, and cooked to perfection with rich spices that instantly reminded me of home. It had just the right balance of heat and aroma, making every bite memorable.

I also absolutely loved their Deshi Vorta — simple yet packed with authentic flavors. Each variety brought a taste of traditional Bangladeshi comfort food, and it perfectly complemented the rest of the meal.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made me feel right at home with their hospitality. Whether you’re from Bangladesh or just looking to try something new, this place is a must-visit in OKC for real Deshi food lovers.

Highly recommend it — I’ll definitely be coming back whenever I’m in town!

I definitely think Al Medina is a restaurant worth giving a chance. This was our first time eating here and Bengali food in general and it was very tasty, not very spicy. If you look at the menu you might recognize some familiar dishes if youve had Indian food before but they take on a whole new dimension when you switch up the spices and enjoy a warm and crispy paratha with your curry.

Come out and support this local business!

If you’re looking to step out of your comfort zone and try something new…this is the place. A wonderful, family-run restaurant, lovely, charming, and above all…delicious!

Beef kachi biryani was amazing. Burhani was savory, and special…but watch out for the heat on the first sip!

Give this place a shot, you won’t be disappointed!!!!

We tried the beef biryani, rui fish bhuna, morog polao, and borhani—and every single dish was absolutely delicious! The biryani was flavorful and aromatic, the fish bhuna perfectly spiced, and the morog polao reminded me of authentic home-style cooking. The borhani added the perfect refreshing touch to the meal.
The staff were kind and welcoming, and the portions were generous. Overall, a wonderful experience—highly recommend Al Madina if you’re craving genuine Bangladeshi flavors in OKC!

⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3.5/5
Eh..

The people here were honestly super nice — really genuine and welcoming, which I appreciated. The vibe of the restaurant felt homey and relaxed too, so points for that.

Now for the food — I ordered the samosa, and it honestly tasted like it was frozen and just deep-fried, not fresh or authentic. The chicken biryani had decent flavor, but one small piece of chicken was cold, which threw me off. The roti wasn’t my favorite (I personally prefer naan), and the water they served in the glass tasted like tap water — room temp and kind of hard-tasting.

I also heard the microwave go off, which made me wonder how fresh everything was. (I don’t even use the microwave at home, so that stuck out to me.)

Overall, I’ve seen good reviews about this place, and maybe I just caught them on an off day. I’ve got mixed feelings, but the genuine kindness from the husband and the cozy atmosphere earned them a 3-star from me.
