Four of us had lunch a few weeks ago. It was our first time there. It was a very cold day, so I though Ramen would be perfect for lunch.

My husband had an udon soup (with extra ear mushrooms) with a side of battered fried shrimp. I had the Tonkatsu ramen. Our friends ordered similar dishes, to include fried gyoza.

The soup was good, but I’ve had better ramen with a richer flavor. I love soft boiled eggs and I always order an extra half. Yum.

Everything else was delicious.

Friendly service and a cool atmosphere. Lots of seats at the bar.

Been here a couple times and if you’re feeling soup this place doesn’t disappoint. The service is nice. There’s usually a good amount of people in the restaurant. Atmosphere is welcoming, with an open kitchen so you can see the cooks working. The broth is always on point, and the soup is fresh. It made my wife happy so everything was perfect.

If I could give them more than five stars in every category, I would! The food, atmosphere, and service was incredible. Everything was fast, fresh, and beyond delicious. Our server gave us incredible recommendations. I was really amused when he swished my bottle of soju around to create a little tornado inside! There were just so many little touches like that which made the whole experience so much fun. I can’t wait to come back.

Amazing staff!! We originally went to bonchon but the service felt terrible so we made our way across the street. We then met the gods of amazing environment, incredible service, and good food! Our servers were amazing at keeping the vibes high and it felt like we were all having a good night out. At the end we were full of noodles, laughter, and a bit of Lucky Dog Matcha!

It’s not easy dining out with two littles under 5 yrs, but dinner tonight was nothing short of amazing.

After a very minimal wait, we were ushered to a clean table and greeted by a server who was obviously very familiar with the menu. He offered alternative (and cost effective!) selections based on my kids’ preferences. I didn’t see him again during the dinner because it seemed as though all the servers worked as a team, accommodating all my asks and keeping the busy Saturday dinner rush running smoothly.

Kudos to all the staff tonight for playing man-to-man AND zones (s/o Brandon!), offering thoughtful touches to please our kiddos, and serving fresh dishes and great sushi rolls. Will be back soon!

The first time I went about six months ago, I had this craving for Ramen that I didn’t know I had until after I ate here it was good. It had great flavor. The staff were really welcoming and accommodated me for the changes that I wanted to make to my order.
If I could give a 1000/10 I would. But a full 5 star is the best I can do!

The food has been absolutely delicious. However, if you’re a fan of chicken or lamb, your options may be a bit limited.

The soups were flavorful, and the sushi was exceptional.

Be sure to ask the waiter for chicken options with your main course—they’ll be happy to assist you.

The service is also fantastic.

Local Japanese restaurant near The Mall in Columbia and I wish I had tried it out sooner.

Parking is across the street in the mall parking lot. Just be careful crossing the street.

Atmosphere is bright and welcoming, the decor has warm tones of nature with distinctive touches to let you know that you are in a Japanese restaurant.

Their hot bowls of ramen are very popular. Handmade noodles! Keep them coming!
Most bowls of ramen come piping hot to the table that the server needs to wear special gloves. All of the ingredients were presented to appeal to the eyes and very fresh. Each ramen comes with a delicious flavorful broth and in generous portions to fill anyone who is hungry.

Dipping sauces went well with the meals. We had two preteens and they loved the ability to mix and taste a variety of flavors and textures. The birthday girl also happened to get a cute complimentary dessert.

I would definitely come back, perhaps during a less busy time of the week. The service was quick, helpful explanations were easily provided and the prices were quite reasonable.

One of the best ramen places in the area. They have a larger menu to include different noodle dishes, appetizers, and sushi. The ramen was delicious. The sushi was also good, but the California roll didn’t have cucumber which was odd. Glad to have found another ramen place that serves delicious food. The kids love it too!

A quick stop for ramen around $14-16. Their restaurant seated us with no wait on Sunday around noon, and the staff was so nice and answered questions clearly for us.

The Akira ramen, their namesake, is my favorite ramen there, though the broths for the other ramens are rich as well.

I really enjoyed the croquette with cheese corn and hamachi kamayaki (fried fish)

I would recommend sticking to ramen as the main dish, as their soba set was delicious, but also quite single note that was greater the first three bites than the fourth.
