The omakase menu features an impressive selection of fresh, seasonal fish, each bite more delicate and flavorful than the last. Highlights included the buttery blue fin and the sweet, perfectly tender salmon.
The setting is sleek and elegant, with a tranquil atmosphere that lets you focus entirely on the food. The staff is attentive and knowledgeable, explaining each course and elevating the experience even further. If you’re looking to indulge in one of city’s finest sushi experiences, Akira Sushi is the place to go.
Our waitress was incredibly friendly, and the service was impressively fast, ensuring we didn’t have to wait long to dive into our delicious meals. We really enjoyed the vibe of the place; it had a relaxed feeling that made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, we can’t wait to return for that incredible ramen!
The spicy tuna was generous and beautifully presented, and the clams miso soup stood out as one of the best we’ve ever tasted. Made with high-quality seaweed and smooth, well-balanced miso, it wasn’t overly salty—a clear sign that it was freshly prepared without over-reduction.
The quality of the seafood was excellent, with each piece tasting fresh and flavorful. The pricing was reasonable for the quality of the food.
Overall, this restaurant offers excellent value for money, with fresh, high-quality seafood and attentive preparation. I’d highly recommend it for anyone seeking a quiet, satisfying sushi experience.
Our server was great and the staff were friendly as well.
The Tonkotsu Ramen was a pleasant surprise. The broth was rich, creamy, and had just the right amount of savory depth. It’s best enjoyed right when it’s served hot. Compared to the lighter, non-creamy broths I usually prefer, this one was more of a ready-to-eat temperature, a nice change that didn’t compromise the flavor.
I was happy to see Okonomiyaki added to the menu since my last visit with its crispy edges, fluffy inside, layered with just the right mix of cabbage, seafood, and batter. Topped with bonito flakes that danced like they were alive. Memories of our friend’s visits from Japan brought back a sense of nostalgia with every bite.
If you’re a fan of jalapeños do not leave without trying the small appetizer Heart Attack. Stuffed jalapeños with salmon and cream cheese, lightly fried to golden perfection. It’s spicy, creamy, crunchy; basically everything good in one bite.
The ambiance open but cozy and the efficient staff are friendly and you can tell the chefs here care about every dish. Definitely adding this to my regular rotation
